I rarely go into the CM section anyway, but it sure sounds like the people who do are being given a lot more leeway than the rest of us in that they'll only be suspended from that particular section, not the whole forum.  That doesn't make much sense to me.

Hmmm I see that spiritdogs was edited bu a mod.  I had received the email of the post..since I get reminders to new posts and found nothing in it that was offensive. 
 
I see that quite a few people are not posting as much as they used to including me.

I have a question to the Admin or Mods.  Does the CM section rules override the TOS's 3 strike rule.  Its disciplinary action seems to state only being restricted from posting in that area.  Also, my other question was not addressed.

Although this is a specific area for specific members, all members are welcome as long as they follow the rules and show respect for this area's participants. Breaking these rules, constant sidetracking the topic with training method debates, inflammatory posts, or displaying a general pattern of disruption may result in temporary or permanent removal from this area.

 
I didn't think so, Anne. It wouldn't make sense.  But if you read this section that DPU posted, that's what it sounds like.  Or maybe it means that people who aren't regulars there would be prohibited from going back?  Maybe I just need to go pour another cup of coffee. []

Actually, that is an interesting question.

Mods--Why are special privilages granted to the CM section that are not granted to the rest of the board?  There was a point made earlier that the rules apply to everyone equally, so it seems that the rules *should* apply to everyone equally, no?

Sally, you make a good point.  Conversely why would those who espouse the ideals of CM be allowed to post countering opinions in other threads if they have their own section where no one can disagree with them?

As was stated in another thread, the CM section, and its rules, were started by the prior Admin. We are currently looking into restructuring some of the forum, this is on our list to address.

NM-question answered.

I do have a question.  It was alluded to earlier by another member but, unless I missed it, it was not addressed.
 
Is the "How Are We Doing?" (notice the question mark) section of the forum no longer appropriately named?  It seems to me that you really don't want feedback expressed here UNLESS it is positive feedback.  If that is the case it is certainly not consistent with how I run my business.  You see, I want to improve my business.  One of the best tools I have to do that is for my customers to tell me what I need to fix.
 
To be fair though, there are people who are very successful surrounding themselves with people who only tell them how great they are.  The most visible example I can think of is the large number of celebrities who are in and out of rehab or jail.

Regarding the How Are We Doing Section - if you read the rule, it says to address problems or complaints privately. Sincere, polite questions are always welcome in this section, but if you, for example, are being stalked by another member/hate a moderator/want to blow up the board, please do not post that in the forum. 
 

We don't want positive only feedback, only to eliminate the hateful, heated threads of late.

I am following the OP statement to a tee.  I ask a question and my preference would be to have it answer directly back to me.  I have done the pm route with no response.  The TOS state use the "report" or ticket route and I tried that and the ticket was left hanging for more than a week and then it magically disappeared, unanswered.  I noticed that Probe1957 question was answered within 20 minutes. 
 
This is some of the reasons why I asked the questions I did.  One trying to put the new TOS in the content of a larger picture of changes to come.  Two, if there would be some kind of guidelines for moderation that the members and moderators understand so subjective interpretation of the content is minimized.  And 3rd, the special disciplinary rule within the CM section.  That rule caught my eyes because I believe it has never been enforced but I do believe total forum ban took place for members.  This goes back to apply the rules consistently to all members.
 
Personal Champ or Mods, if you can address my questions, I would greatly appreciate it.
