Why are you trying to make this thread about you? The OP had some excellent suggestions which were not directed at anyone. IMO, anyone who is taking them personally is doing so out of insecurity. Thanks Lani, sometimes it's easy to forget that this board isn't the "real world". I'm going to play tug-o-war with Otto

As I told Sera, when I first read this thread, my atenna went up.  Then I decided that I was just being prickly about it and would just keep an eye on it.  And then the emails started pouring in.  My initial reason for closing the thread at all was that I had concerns about just this kind of tit for tat personal attacks that I'm seeing here NOW.
 
I will not enter the stalking debate.  I will however say that it needs to stop and stop now.  There are a number of posts that need to be edited.  Since we are all adults I would appreciate you folks taking care of that yourselves and NOT requiring the dreaded red ink.

This is a sad fact... and one everyone is working to perpetuate it. So my point stands, why don't we ALL get a life... when you feel like fighting arguing or other, go do something useful. ... come here to share. Come here to make friends, be friends, be friendly... and use this excesive energy in a positive way.

 
This is a great way of putting it! A good suggestion, for sure. Too bad this is not the way it was written to begin with,,, there would have been no problems then.

I can see your point Dyan, but my question, in response to it is, would it have made the same impact? I was not trying to be offensive... I was trying to shake things up a bit and to make more of a statement and to get peoples attention I felt I needed to be a bit blunt []

Perhaps not...but really,,,things are already "shook up" around here way too much...they need to die down...not fuel things up.  Any more hurt on this forum to any of our posters is just making things worse.
That is just my opinion for whatever its worth.

This is my opinion, take it for what it's worth, which probably isn't much because I'm not a very active member of this forum anymore. This is largely due to the fact that 90% of the threads posted turn into a war zone which helps no one, including the OP.
 
Now, What I think is, although this thread had a very valid point, it was highly unneccessary. There are plenty of threads on this forum already about how we should be nice to each other and few have changed thus far. This thread was posted to stir things up, as stated by the OP, and that to me..is not needed. What everyone needs on this forum is to calm down and learn how to communicate with each other without getting "stirred up."
 
And I'm not surprised at all at the turn this thread took, although I don't think it should have ever been closed, I think that there are members(all of us at one time or another) that need to learn how to better communicate.
