Holy crapplejacks! I go on vacation for a few days and I see that all Hell has broke loose.
 
Jeano, I'm sorry to see you go. I've enjoyed your posts. Sadly, considering some of the posts on here, I don't blame you for not coming back. It just saddens me at how some of our members behaved on this thread.

This thread seems to be pulled in three different directions.  1. Goodbye, theres too much nastiness here right now; 2. Lets all get pi**y about links, sigs and avatars (i would be soooo confused about this - if i cared at all) 3; sensible discussion re charity/business section and 4. last but oh so not least lets all have a pop at admin/mods/the op/a different fellow member.
 
So this is why i left.... i remember now.  I didn't post a goodbye thread but I did leave for a while. i expect no one noticed cos its only little me.  I only just logged back on today.  This thread was a nasty surprise and no incentive to keep coming back.  Yikes.

Edited because I was commenting on someone's extremely rude post and I realized it's better just to let it go...

Keep going we`re at almost 11 pages. Can we set a record?

I am posting this again. It seems not to have sunk in. This thread is now to remain ON TOPIC which is goodbye to Jeano...not commenting on rules, your fellow members responses, the rules, etc. If you would like to say goodbye I am all for letting you do so. If you want to pass judgement on other members...do it privately via PM or make a new thread...because we all know we need yet another thread where people can say how horrible this forum and the people in it...are. Right?

But the mature thing is for the membership to allow it to slip down the page and move on. The mature thing is for the membership to demonstrate the ability they claim to have...to move on and self moderate, instead of being dictated to by moderators.

Uuummmmm.... WOW!

Sorry to go against what you just said...but there are opinions stated about rude or mean people on this thread but I sure haven't seen anyone talking about the forum being horrible.

I just want to thank you Jeano, and anyone else that starts a goodbye or complaint thread. Whatever else comes of them, they bring to light problems with the board and if the admins/mods/fellow members take these comments to heart then these periods of dissension can bring changes for the better.

There shouldn't be "picking sides" here Glenda.... the above post was just causing trouble...taking her complaints to the forum instead of to a moderator or the person/people involved.  Getting her "digs" in.
This thread hadn't been posted on in weeks...there was no reason to start it all back up unless you were answering the last person that said "goodbye!"
Sorry but we have enough unrest on this forum...without this kind of thing!
 
 

Dyan i saw this thread for the very first time yesterday,i didnt even look at the date it was started on,which to be honest has no relevance to me whether i post on it or not.I dont get alot of time on the computer so i cant peruse every board,every day.I usually have time once a week/fortnight to have a proper look around,and even then there are too many threads to read,.and i pick out the ones with the catchiest titles,which this one certainly had.

FTR i'm not one of those people who go running to the mods everytime i get my knickers in a twist,never have,never will,they have enough on their plates without having to listen to members petty drama's.Besides i'de feel like a little kid running to mom,i just cant do it!!

And as for the unreast,i am totally unaware of any unrest or infighting or whatever it is that has been going on.I have not been involved in any of it,so i dont feel the need to pussyfoot around
