Heads up - a bunch of new IDs

Hi guys - sorry, I'm dog-sitting the Heathens this week, starting this past Saturday, and they are such a full-time job that I actually took 1/2 days from work to be sure they are taken care of as well as possible. I spent all day yest dealing w/a UKC trial so I was away from the computer for most of the day. Tonight I have people coming over for training, then Thurs is dedicated to Competition coaching. Saturday their owners come home, and I am off the hook! Phew! They are exhausting!

I just saw a bunch of IDs waiting for approval, so I approved/disapproved a bunch. Be aware - some are moderately suspect, but I let them through. Hopefully we don't have much for trouble-makers.

Must be join the forum season as I did two loads of ID's over the weekend one was like 37!

I was at the Seattle show all weekend - man am I tired. How come dog shows are so exhausting!? I mean, I don't get it, it's not all that difficult? Weird, but true. LOL

I'll check-in now, though.

Only took 2.5 months to get off the fence w/that one. lol!

Karen, I did a buttload the other day, too. I think when they build that half of them are spammers and the others are people who create multiple IDs thinking their first attempts had something wrong with them.

I was trying to remember how she left. I remember everyone trashed her because she's a future puppymill, but did we delete her account? Or did she just ask us to? .... or am I thinking of someone else???

That wasn't directed at you specifically - it was all of us just ignoring the request.

She just sort of faded away after she wanted a thread deleted.... but I can't recall if she actually requested her ID be deleted... I gotta hunt for that sucker

I think it's the fact that you have to hold tension constantly for several hours... waiting for answers if you're moving on, etc, etc. I was totally toasted on Sunday and even Monday recovering was bad.

How did your kids do at the Seattle show?

I just Disapproved a bunch of drug-name profiles...and also went through and Disapproved some that had been approved by someone? I dunno. But Glimpiride and griseoflux(whatever it was) and colchicine and some others are drugs, so I Disapproved those and set them to Force Log-in.

I probably did it.... I've been disapproving about 20 spammers for every 1 I do approve, though. So that's odd. I must have done 5 pages already today..... crazy amount of these spammers coming in.

I know right? I have it set at only 20 a page... so, it's not too bad, but it's still never ending. Every time I check.... there's at least a handful more, almost always ALL drug spammers. I don't understand this type of spam.

I do love it!! Super exciting, maybe we can dredge up some of the old, awesome threads and put them in there? Any idea's of what?

I just did 46 ... only 4 of which were approved, and only 2 of looked like feasible potential members. 9 out of 10 are drug spammers.... good grief.

I did 28 yesterday, and you're right, they came in handfuls every time I checked. *sigh* Almost feel like letting them pile up, except for the REAL people in the middle. : /

Meanwhile, I emailed MilkyWay about the Sagan thread and no response. I posted in the thread where s/he whined about it - no response, just Ron saying thanks for the info. All that hullaballoo for "censoring the forum" and now that it's back, the masses are suspiciously quiet.
