DELETED THREAD INFO

Good!  Funny that he chose to contact you and not me, since I've been sending him PM's over his behavior in the thread many times.  PS, I think he is actually a SHE.

 I figured that's why she came to me... but, I also thought she may have sent it to all of us.  So, wanted to let you know how I replied.  Piece of work that one!!

 I need some input, not sure why there are so many questions about who the mods/admin are and what we do, and how?  Does anyone know why the current interest?  How should we reply to adorkable's question:

 What are the differences between mods and admins? What are their responsibilities, duties, etc? Also, how are they selected? Do you receive a PM from the Hand of the Powers that Be, are you nominated, volunteer?

Just curious.

I imagine there's conversation going on in the Facebook chat room.  I think she's being used as a pawn.  Or she's just curious or stupid.  Just because a question is asked doesn't mean it has to be answered in explicit details.

Me, I'd send her a PM that still remains obtuse..tell her there's been a sharing of duties and that moderators come to the position through a combination of means culminating in the acceptance of the volunteer role.  Then I'd point blank ask her - why do you ask?  Are you looking for changes?  Do you want to become a Mod?  Do you think there's a problem?

 I agree, I wasn't planning on replying soon. Good idea. Let it die down then reply via PM maybe. .... I think so, too. I bet they are chatting about it.  I dont' know how I feel about that. A mixture of irritation and ambivalence. I bet Amanda is at the heart of it, she irritates me, but what else is new?

From the whopping 2 posts I've done so far tonight - yes.  :D

There's an ongoing thing with signature references to Amanda and Bevo in 2015.... which is clearly discussions happening behind the scenes.  I think the Forum Moderation topic is stirring up in the Facebook chat room (is oranges a member over there??  There's no moderating what they say in there - they can say anything they want.  Karen has access to it, but we have no control over it.  If they complain to "Admin" about us, I don't know what it would be over.  Not like anyone has brought anything to our attention as a complaint or concern.  Just this question of "who are the mods, how did they get to be mods, what do they do." - that tells me discussion is going on and someone is playing brave to ask the questions they've been debating. 

Karen - I see you responded to Heather in the thread.  Thanks for pointing out that we do have lives!!!! lol

I sent Heather a note - I think they're talking about threads getting pulled altogether - which must be the last two that I pulled.  (the kennel name and the Baloney Detection Kit thread)

I told her the system glitch interfered w/the thread lock and we're awaiting admin fix so we can put it back out there - since there is good discussion among 50 page of dialog where in the end they all agreed it had run its course.

I also told her its best to ask me straightforward questions, but since nobody asked me directly, maybe this wasn't about me?

KAREN _ YOU ROCK!  I loved your post today in that thread about Rules and Admin!!  Loved it!  I like transparency and just "tell it like it is".  :D

 I hope, by the way we are opening up and encouraging a discussion that the conspiracy theorists enjoy the egg on their face.

 Just seeing this - LOL Paige transparent is to me the best way to deal with this sort of thing. I have sent Heather a few very long pm's discussing some topics further (she pm'd me as requested). The thread that they are more worked up about is the Bevo/Cher attack thread - I swear they are Amanda groupies! FTR that hasn't been said but it sure is hinted at so I laid it out for her.

I also used my knowledge of what occurs in the FB chat to say they are full of poop making this stance that has nothing to do with the decline in posting here - they are very active over there - a whole lot of dog conversations and complaints about the forum.  I think I sent Paige a copy of a chat that was targeting Tiffy, extremely childish and led to them attacking every one of her posts here - Heather denied awareness of any ganging up but I think she got my point

And I threw down the challenge; you want more lively debate than post something here. Totally peeved me to hear from people that aren't posting at all that there's no lively debate, well ya lazy poops start one!

And yes oranges81 or whatever her handle is - is an active member there - the ones initiating and posting most of the rubbish are the same ones on the chat which I pointed out was even further evidence that they took their conversations elsewhere so if they want them here its up to them to post

And I saw new posts from Truley, Heather and oranges that were asking questions etc. so may be they heard the message that if they want to debate they actually need to get involved not talk about it on FB.

I did see a bit of a chat earlier in which Jennie was bitching about the comments that chat has killed posting - listen children will be children - to me its no loss to have some of the pia's taking their catty chat elsewhere.

Heather is playing Grovel Girl in PMs to me, too.  Nice how she says "nope, that's not what I'm talking about" in the thread, then owns up to it in PM.  I told her that if she wanted to know what happened with Amanda's thread, she could have asked at the time like DougB did, who received a very thorough response from Lani about it.

I also told her that explaining where a thread went for a whopping 24-48 hours was less of a priority than the things going on in my real life while we ALSO worked to resolve this super-annoying, massively interfering "oops" problem.  Majority of posters affected by that.  Minority affected by egotistical chest-thumping and mud slinging in one single thread.  I also said, repeatedly, that if someone thought I killed it, why they didn't ask me directly.  Bunch of chickens.

Heather, Truley, and Amanda are the Admins to that group on Facebook.  Heather told me I could join if I want to.  HA!  None of them need access to me personally. 

Amanda is a mega manipulator - has been since she joined the forum.  We've seen the underbelly of some of the dangerously devious things she's done through this forum.  Some of it was really cruel.  Meanwhile, tiffy just sent me a PM - these threads must have made her feel more secure, too.

Thanks for the comments about Patrick.  My dad isn't doing so  hot, either (gout in his foot has made walking impossible, which made sitting/laying down all day even more painful).  So btwn those two, I started a new job this week trying to work my way into a permanent position in a different dept, getting voted into a kennel club and then being told that the entire website is toast (someone didn't save a back-up) so it's up to me to build it from scratch (that was Wednesday). Yeah, this place can idle for a bit, I think.

The thread is the one you referred to. Some of the more active participants speculated in another thread that the forum shut it down, capriciously.  It was bad timing that it disappeared shortly after you said you thought it had run it's course.  It seemed to some that it was removed for that reason.  I didn't really care one way or another but it is good to know that it was technical glitch and not intentional.

 I think it's possible Heather is also referring to Amanda's thread about her dog's attacking the jehovah's witnesses.  A few people got their panties in a twist because they felt Amanda had her hand slapped and then that thread disappeared.  I wasn't one ot them.

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your dad, work etc (well work is good but everything all at once!) - stay calm and pace yourself - this site will be fine. BTW saw your post about G being off - you know she is likely totally in tune with your stress.

Interesting that Jackie would have pm'd you about this stuff - I know that she was horrified by the JW slamming but I'm not sure what she is saying in that pm.  I told Heather point blank about the issues with that thread from both the iDog stance and mine.  Despite assuring me it would be held in confidence I am sure it will go back to the clique - I figured that into my response bwa ha ha ha

And yes I am glad we had a safe trip and that my bird obsessed, escape artist dog is back with no damage. I forgive him those transgressions because he was so good with the nasty little dogs 

 I just don't get the conspiracy theories.... WHY!??!  Seriously, are their lives that boring that they sit around thinking we do things with motivations specifically to torture them?  So freakin' ridiculous.  Who has that much time, besides Republicans? :P LOL

 Karen - WOW.  Wowzers.  I have a theory about dog people. I feel that most dog people, who are involved to the point of obsession (I think we 3 qualify. LOL :) are socially inept (I think we 3 do not qualify :)  Apparently she underscores this point perfectly.  I blush for her.... WHO DOES THAT!?  Who lets someone else pick up the check and fail to appreciate it?  I'm so sorry Karen!!
