Thanks, gals. :) He's feeling better because they've got the infection under control, but they had to put in some stitches and they are uncomfortable. About half the time he seems to be feeling fine, the other half he's weak and very very tired. I was with him for about 6 hours today and he must have slept for 4 of them.
They're planning on bringing the surgery forward but no date as yet. He's supposed to have a CT scan in the morning and they may let him come home after that, dependent on how he's feeling and of course the scan not showing any surprises. His face is still quite swollen and that actually seemed to get worse today, I'm not used to him having a double chin, hopefully that's just one of those random things and it will go down again.
I did manage to get some sleep last night, not enough to make up for the 3 hours I got the night before, but a reasonable full night's sleep, which made it much easier to function today. When Steve isn't sleeping, he's bored, but I have a surprise for him which arrived today - I bought him a DS, so I'll take that to him in the morning.
Thanks for holding down the fort and generally being superstars.
