As I said in my PM to you, you never know when you might be helping someone without even knowing it. And I think you help a lot of people. If you need a break, take it, but I hope you come back after a (very) short time away.

I 2nd (3rd, 4th, 5th.....) the requests that you don't stay gone forever.  I know I'm new but from what I've seen you're posts have been helpful (even when you may not realize it) and thoughtful, and pleasant to others.  I love hearing about Conrad and Marlowe and I will me you and them very much.  I hope taking a break will benefit you, but that you'll return.  Best wishes to you and your family.

I think this sucks.  That we have trolls who hang on like this is their personal litterbox, and yet someone valuable, credible, kind, and helpful like Cressida is run off.  Cressida - I'm sorry to see you go - but I sincerely hope it's just a temporary rest. You add a great deal to this board and your membership here is valued.  Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.  Wishing you, Conrad, and Marlowe a nice chance to connect with eachother during your break away.  (Maybe we'll consider it "winter hibernation" and we'll see you back at the first sight of spring??  Heck, I'll take sooner than that, but don't want to be too greedy!)

From another semi-newbie (and often one of the aforementioned lurkers), I will greatly miss your presence on the boards.  There have been many posts where I find myself nodding voraciously at something you've said, and your stories about Conrad and Marlowe have touched me.  You're one of the people on this forum who has made me want to learn more about hounds, and would be interested in possibly having one someday.  I hope you realize how much you give to people around the forum.

Like the others, I hope you will enjoy your time off, and perhaps come back to us.  I fully understand the need to be away from something that you are steeped in, and I know that your break will be wonderful and relaxing.  Enjoy your boys, and don't hesitate to return! 

Sending a private note, but just wanted to add in my support for you and really do hope that you decide to come back. For me you were an extremely valuable person to have here. You are kind, fair, diplomatic, and have experience that can really help others on this board. I valued all of that very much, and will miss having you around.

i usually don't go to this section, so i'm a little late. just wanted to say i hate to see ya go...but i understand that sometimes a break is needed! enjoy your time away and come update us soon!

Ditto. I sent a pm some time ago. But I trust that she is doing what she needs to do. And bless her for stepping back when she needs to.

FWIW, she means what she says. She hasn't come back to garner sympathy or spill sour grapes. She needed a break and by golly, she meant just that. No more, no less. I'd like to see her come back but sometimes, the best thing you can do is nothing and be supportive about that.

I am one of the newer people here, but I just wanted to say that I, too, am sorry to see you go.  I have enjoyed reading your input and hearing about your pups.  They are really nice looking dogs.  I wish you well and hope to see you back soon.
