"Last thing you see" theory

Has she said Cher supposedly been competing?  She's clearly purebred, I don't understand why she doesn't get her PAL versus an ILP - but, either way she can compete in practically anything but conformation, if she can't get her PAL, she can still get her ILP, so this is mystifying.  Weims with PAL's (from Rescue) can compete in any WCA event minus Conformation (obviously)........ I mean, maybe Dobe's are stricter? But, I doubt it.  What's your thought, Paige?

Clearly she's been mistreated, yet another instance the big bad world mistreating poor Amanda, it's amazing that she has any friends, family or even any bones that haven't been broken, left the mortality rate around her is really rather scary.  I'm glad I'm not a "friend"!!

They're the same thing.  AKC used to call it ILP until they changed the name in 2007 and called it PAL now.  There is no difference.  Gracie has an ILP because I obtained her registration in 2006.  Cher was born after 2007 I think, so she would get a PAL if Amanda had applied for one.

USA will accept SV pedigrees (which doesn't apply to Dobes, it's GSDs), *OR* proof of registry w/another recognized breed registry like AKC or CKC. Since the focus of USA is on GSDs, plenty of people who compete in USA don't care if their dogs are listed as mixed breed and don't bother submitting any proof that their dog is registered as a purebred Dobe or Rott or whatever.  Gracie's USA scorebook lists her as a Dobe because I submitted her ILP # to prove she's a Dobe.

Now, if Amanda's talking about the UDC (United Doberman Club) Nationals, which are in Durham in April, that's a different venue - UDC does IPO trials.  Don't ask me to explain the differences btwn IPO and SchH, because I don't know what they are anymore, other than that USA isn't under the same umbrella of FCI/DVG as IPO is.  But I know the titles are different than SchH titles (You'll see IPO-1, IPO-2  versus SchH I, SchH II, etc.).  As far as I know, since IPO falls under DVG entry in an IPO trial therefore requires an AKC registry to prove the breed of the dog before you can get a scorebook.

SO!  Bottom line - Cher doesn't have a PAL in order to compete in IPO (DVG) or SchH (USA) trials.  I won't say she's been mistreated.  Either she got lazy or thought she could circumvent the rules, or maybe she's deliberately not registering Cher w/AKC b/c of some political stance.  But, as I've mentioned before, she claims her dogs compete in AKC (Bevo and Shooter) so, I don't know, since I've never once seen proof of records on either of those dogs.

UNNNllless... she's talking about the UDC (United Doberman Club) and their Nationals are near Durham, NC, in April.  But I doubt it.

that's what she was talking about but I'm not sure what it was called they denied her but essentially it was not granting Cher status as a doberman because no papers may be.  Sorry the sketchy info is due to not caring and lack of knowledge LOL

Excuses.. and excuses to create her as a victim who triumphs, talk about self importance... what a freakin' martyr. She needs to join the Islamic Extremists, I'm sure they'd be able to help her really whoop it up as martyr!

LOL now that cracked me up

I'm guessing she's talking about a USA event in Raleigh next weekend.

OH what's that may be I can attend?

Lani don't let these bitches win, and they do win if they keep you from here or ruin it for you.  They are gone essentially for now and having loads of idiotic self-indulgent talk on chat.

What I need to do is stop lurking on there but I can say I find it entertaining

OK Beastie is in all likeliness digging to China in my yard again or eating oodles of deer turds so I had best go find him.

I think tomorrow's trip to the Duke Canine Cognition Center is going to be hmm 'interesting'

    Have a good week ladies

Don't be surprised if nobody talks to you.  SchH events can be extremely serious as events go.  By the end, the competitors should be loosened up enough to talk to you.  lol  Tracking is usually very early in the morning, so if you go, get there early - they'll probably do BHs or the Obed & Protection phases close to 8 or 9am.

I googled that club's name and came up with this Facebook page - I didn't hunt around too much for an actual club web page, b/c it doesn't look like they have one.  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=25488021277

OH, and have fun at the Duke Cognition Center!!!!  (My dad went to Duke, but he didn't graduate from there.  I've often thought I'd like to go visit.)

Maybe they will learn something interesting from him - like they learned lots of good stuff through kids with Autism?

The first time I went to a SchH event, I was amazed at people giving the stink eye.  But I think they're watching for anyone who wants to interfere w/their performance, maybe. lol  If you opt to go, just contact the club to find out if the field(s) where they're holding the trial have parking restrictions.  Esp with tracking, you don't want a gazillion cars running all over the farmer's fields, out of courtesy.  So sometimes they carpool over to a field.

ha ha ha ha I've clearly made him sound retarded.  I just mean he is a very excitable boy, in new environments he is extremely interested in the smells and every inch of the place.  I'm not sure how long that will last or if he'll choose to engage with them.  He's fairly smart just not terribly biddable or food motivated.

No worries I wouldn't just show up

NOOO!!  Autism is a remarkable thing - I think it's amazing how creative Autistic children are.  Not retarded, no!  I view it as a special gift.  But what do I know?

aDorkable is online right now, in the Can we get a list? thread - the last page.  Probably reading Ron's post... I wonder if she has a response or just came to troll.

See, I knew it!  Bugsy is doggie Autistic!!  kidding!  But that's so awesome that he beat their expectations and they could see a shining star of brilliance beyond his "introduction".

I'll have to go finish reading the blog about it before I ask if he got some kind of reward afterward...

His reward was a Busy Buddy kibble nibble BUT his real reward was being praised for using his brain - instead of being asked to stop using it for mischief Wink In all seriousness he was completely full of himself yesterday as if his self-esteem was boosted by it all, that's super interesting to me.

Ha ha I so wish he didn't have to investigate all new surroundings the way he does but............well.............

However the same trait that leads to him leaping up the platform and heading up the fire escape is the one that provides the quick decision making and also him 'guessing' what they wanted him to do.  He had no initial learning curve.  The game started and he knew it.

His MO is to try and predict what will happen, so even all the retrieving of objects prior to the start was him saying; this one? no this one? OK how about this?

He's an interesting beast and I love him and he WILL make you laugh. Others he makes you scream. It all balances
