    New AB1634 website

Interesting info about the opponents of AB1634.  Particularly worth reading, IMO, is the page about the AKC.

It is nice to seem something that is truthful on the AKC and Petpac, two of the organizations trying to keep the status quo where millions of dogs are executed each year in the US.  The total focus of these groups is the dollar bill, not our pets.

You mean the stuff from 20 years ago???  Or are you talking about all the spinning???

Why not start with the stuff from 2002 and 2006?  Did you miss those????  And please explain how you can spin a quote.  Quotes can certainly be taken out of context, but then you're free to show it IN context if you feel it doesn't represent what was originally written.

So I repeat, can you disprove the quoted material on the AKC?

i am merely employing the same "debate" techniques used by others on several other advocacy threads.

i figure what is good for the goose is good for the gander. [;)]

Oh I see, so you don't have any interest in the subject, you're just trying out your debate tactics?

Maybe you find name calling to be an effective debate technique, but I don't so will no longer respond to it.  If you'd like to seriously discuss the website I posted, I'm up for it.  Otherwise, have a nice day.

It's funny in there how they can confuse income with profits concerning registration.  I guess there is no cost to the AKC associated with registration.  They haven't looked at the complete bottom line.  Look at the full financial statements.  Funny they don't mention how much money the H$U$ has and how much is spent in animal shelters.

I won't even comment on allegations from the biased dog press.

The AKC can't deny registrations from a commercial breeder if that breeder is following the establisted standards.  That is law suit territory about something called restraint of trade.

The puppy protection act was so badly written it needed to be stopped.

Concerning the border collie.  It's not the AKC's call or capability to define the breed standards.  That comes from the border collie club and is full of the usual political infighting of which there has been between competing clubs.

point out one place where i called anyone a name.

it seems to me that certain people arent looking for a debate, just for people who agree with them. maybe you dont like it when your data is dismissed in such a manner. i wouldnt either, and data contrary to your opinion has been dismissed in such a way.

i didnt bother to read the rhetoric posted on the website in question. what is the use? anyone can put a spin on information or use information out of context to make their belief seem like the correct one.
