Border Collie Breeder Busted

Just because this operation was discussed not too long ago here. I backed off when it was pointed out that it was basically heresay, though I did personally rescue dogs dumped by this operation in shelters. Those poor, poor dogs. Wish I was closer to help out...hope they can all recover from such treatment.

Really? I am sorry to hear about anyone getting a sick puppy, that happens from time to time.

I was not aware of a goverment law that states rescuers are not allowed to breed dog. So, what is your real question?

Nice first post. Hmm I'm assuming that you only joined to try to cause problems.

I know lots of breeders who are very active in rescue, so you're point is? Oh wait, you don't really have a point other than to try to start trouble.

Becca, I'm so glad that this hellhole was raided. I truly hope that all of the dogs are ok, & that they end up in the loving homes that they deserve.

There's no rule that says rescuers are not "allowed" to be breeders and vice versa. Many breeders do "give back" by helping out and we are very grateful to them. That said, just to clarify, I've only bred one litter of any kind of dog in my life and it was when my Maremma Sheepdog sired a litter with a friend's female. The issue is not with breeders who help with rescue but ones who add to rescue by dumping their own rejects and even setting up their own orgs to make it more convenient to thin out their breeding operations. and of course in this case the vile conditions the dogs were in, was an issue. The whole thing is a warning to check rescues carefully when you deal with them. This guy had a lot of nice people fooled, I know (wave the flag, quote Bible verses). And there are more out there in my own rather small breed!

Perhaps a visit to her farm in Pearson County would uncover some real truths.

Since you feel the need to stick up for her, then yes, perhaps I was casting stones.

My apologies to Brookcove! I guess both my boys and I were the lucky ones. My BC"s that came from here are wonderful dogs. So God must of told me three years ago to rescue them! It is appalling, I feel very betrayed by what this man truly made be beleive about himself! I apologize to everyone for sticking up for him all these years. All I had to go on were the wonderful pups I received from him!
