My discussion lists have been full of posts concerning legislation under consideration in multiple locations. There are lots of JQP owners (those who are pet owners and dont typically get involved in other dog related activiites for the most part) who may not be aware of the impact that legislation may have on them. After cleaning up my front yard (my dogs are in the back (fenced) yard multiple times this week. After being harrassed and Nora actually bitten by an unsocialized, unexercised, people friendly lab on leashed walks; seeing multiple "poo and doodle" litters in the newspaper; and transporting the third rescue Mal this year, it was time to try something.

Please consider what you might do in your community. It may be a small thing, but it is a start.

What a great idea.... so simple and easy yet, fantastic!! Your letter was well written and not accusatory in the least. If your message affects even one person, what an accomplishment.

I think I may look into trying something similar, may I borrow your theme of "answering yes"?

Been there, done that, numerous times in letters and feature stories, and it's so nice to see another well written letter to try to reach the public before it's too late. Awesome job, and, for those who don't know, these things have some impact - the Letters to the Editor is one of the most widely read parts of any newspaper.

Can I borrow the whole thing? With your name at the bottom if you wish? Or some kind of thing like, I saw this in another paper and wanted to send it to our own?
