I need to thank my Rescue Partner Steve Sacchitelli for his incredible work in getting this terrible portrayal of the American pit bull terrier pulled off the air

"I just got off the phone with Scott Armstrong at Verizon who is someone in Marketing with considerable pull
They have pulled the ad.
I'm not a big Verizon fan by any stretch, but I have to say that the 5 or 6 underlings I had to threaten to get to Scott were most professional, as was Scott himself who followed up with me several times
They genuinely seemed to have no idea the fire they were fueling. Good work to everyone that called - they got the message and acted quickly. I only wish my calls to the White House were so productive.

Steve's Marketing and promotional background was very effective in getting him past the " we will call you backs" and locked doors at Verizon, and his many hrs on the phone along with your emails has certainly paid off this time
Congrats to Verizon for actually acting on this
Please say Thanks to Steve with a short email, for his efforts in effectively removing this ad campaign with the help of all of you
