     My name is Gimli and I am a black and tan dobi who was rescued from animal control 3 years ago and my foster family is looking for very carefully for the best home they can find for me.  I  have lots of energy and enthusiasm and I need a person who has the same.  So far I get along well with other female dogs but the other male dog I live with and I have issues.  I am looking for a job because I love to learn and need something to keep my brain working.

    Where are you located?  Any more info would be great.......docked,cropped,spayed,age, etc.

     Hi,

    We live in Illinois.  I am on vacation right now, when I get home I can send pics.  Gimli is cropped and docked, black and tan with very dark markings.  He weighs about 80 lbs and is very lean for his size.  He is neutered and is about 4-5 years old.  I don't know his exact age, when we rescued him from animal control he was so so emaciated (45 lbs) it was hard to tell if he was an older puppy or just malnurished.  He has the energy and play drive of a younger dog.

    What are your interests?  Do you have any other dogs?  If so what kind?   What sparked your interest in Gimli?  I really want to make sure he goes to the right home.  He's been through a lot and deserves the best we can do for him.

    We had a dobie boy (Zeus) 4 years ago and he passed away at only 7 years old....complications with a UTI.....we miss him SOOOOO much.  We did rescue a German Shorthaired Pointer, a year to the day our dobie passed away, that was being abused by a neighbor.  He is around 4 now. We also have a cat and two sons (16 and 12).  We love our Pointer to death, but there is such a big difference between a sporting dog and a Doberman.......We love the breed.  He would be in a great home....we have a fenced in yard too. Also, my husband is home all day. I can post more pics..even some of our Dobie boy.  We do have some pics on the forum of our GSP and kitty.
    We are in Northeastern PA, so I don't know how transportation would be to get him to us.  Please let me know.
