Huge puppymill raid in Tennessee of over 700 animals

"Aiding in the largest puppy mill raid Tennessee has ever seen, the ASPCA has dispatched our forensics team and mobile CSI unit to collect evidence and help treat over 700 hundred sick and injured animals."

I think that is just so sad...I hate to see all them poor animals having to live like that. It makes me even more upset to hear it was in my own state. Where are these peoples hearts? They must of lost it somewhere between childhood and adulthood. I love all animals and I hate to hear about this stuff. I watched Oprah the day she had about puppy-mills. That is one of the saddest thing and to know that some of these dogs have never touched grass before just breaks my heart. The one dog's face was covered in urine for years and years. I litterly cried. About 3 months ago my mom took me into town to this petstore. They had puppies and I knew right off they were from a puppy mill because half of the dogs looked sick and I am pretty sure the one in there was dead. I rushed out of there as fast as I could. I couldn't stand to see these poor pups having to live like that.

I'm pretty sure that's the same raid that sent 150 of the animals to the Atlanta Humane Society.  They had a huge adoption day a couple of weeks ago.  Apparently the raid happened in June, and the adoptable animals (those who weren't too sick) were dispersed out to various no-kill shelters to be adopted out.  According to the local news here, a ton of people showed up to adopt these dogs.  So hooray for the ASPCA and the local shelters around the country who helped find these poor dogs wonderful new homes!

Oh, and I hope there is a special place in he!! for the people who ran that mill.
