Beagle rescues?

Other than the national breed club, or B.O.N.E.S., does anyone know of any other Beagle rescue groups, or groups that specialize in senior dogs, that might help an older Beagle whose elderly owner is seriously ill and may need to re-home the dog quickly? The family has already said they don't want her. The dog is in the New England area.

Thanks, Gina. I knew about BREW, but I thought they only did the mid-Atlantic. I'll put them on the list to call if the need arises.

Libby's Haven for Senior Canines is in Canterbury NH. This rescue group specializes in rehoming senior dogs and I believe quite a few of them are beagles. Here is their petfinder page: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/NH33.html I heard about them from a neighbor who had nice things to say but I personally know nothing about them.

Good luck....so sad for the dog and the owner.
