    rwbeagles-Limit Laws challenged and beaten!

This shows why 'guardianship' and such other language may be the surest way for pet owners to shoot themselves in the foot. The "dogs are property" thing, looks to be what saved these two ladies from having to give up their dogs.

I hope this challenge case is used in other places and situation where ridiculous and baseless limit laws are in effect. I've never seen one where the numbers weren't arbitrarily chosen at random. Cities should have to prove their need for such laws with some sort of data, IMO.

I noticed Holt has 12 dogs and no permit. Maybe this case might be used as a case precedence by backyard breeders as part of their defence as to why they did not obtain permits for all the dogs that they have.

This is awesome. Arbitrary limit laws are some of the most intrusive, unfair, and ridiculous things out there. As long as my animals aren't a nuisance to anyone, NO ONE, especially the city, should have the right to tell me how many I am capable of responsibly owning.

    Score one for pet owners.
