I know we have folks versed in K9 training...is it common for them simply to chase anyone running past? I always thought it was more of a "command" given and directed at a specific person...so perhaps a not so well trained K9 too? Be interested in input from those familiar with k9's.... • mrv Posted : 9/21/2007 6:08:13 PM In some cases, the folks who are in the K9 units are not there due to dog sense or skills.  It can be senority or even just interest.  It is possible for dogs to take advantage of novice handlers and they do.  Yes dogs will respond to motion as well as work off a specific command.  In this case, the dog was likely not well managed at the moment of the incident. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
