need a DFW area pit rescue.

There's a dog up for adoption at the SPCA of Texas on South Industrial whose name is Scarface.  He was in the stray holds, and passed the tempermant testing to make him available for adoption, but it is very clear that he has been in more than a fair share of fights.

I think this dog belongs in a pittie rescue and not in your average home.

If anyone is available to help, come by the Dallas SPCA and check him out.  You'll never meet a sweeter dog, and he really needs the right place.  He's in with the "big dogs".  Offer him a treat and you'll be met with the softest mouth you've ever seen.

If I didn't have 2 big pits in an apartment in the city, then he would be in my house already.

    You might tryhttp://www.spindletoppitbullrefuge.org/

If they can't help, they might know someone in the area who can.

I hate to be negative, but I wouldn't waste your time. In my experience, the SPCA does not work with breed rescues at all- he'd probaly have to be adopted by an individual and then signed over to Spindletop.

actually, that was exactly my plan- i was going to adopt him and sign him over...
