And here you are again Bob, trying to sway with emotion, rather than facts.

This rhetoric gets old. We know they're in shelters, we know they're dying. We know there's a lot of them. But show me numbers and facts (NOT from a Pro OR Anti AB1634 website) instead of emotional clap trap.

Not "melodrama", just "Reality". Some people just have problems dealing with the truth of what is actually happening.

I have no problem understanding exactly what is happening and how it is happening. I doubt that there are many on this forum that fail to fully understand the shelter situation.

Frankly having someone "waving red flags" and repeatedly saying the equivalent of "but you don't understand" is quite annoying and makes people stop listening entirely. I am as capable of understanding this issue as anyone else and I am probably old enough to be your grandmother (maybe your great-grandmother). I have seen how well intentioned, but poorly written legislation can be badly applied.

One can sway some people with emotional arguments. The communication skills necessary to sway the rest of us (without insulting our intelligence) are different and worth developing.
