URGENT: Puppy Tortured, Baked to Death--Please HELP Get Justice for Her

Justin and Joshua Moulder, charged with torturing and baking a puppy to death, have entered guilty pleas to the nine felony counts against each of them in Atlanta.  The Moulder brothers have admitted duct-taping and hog-tying the puppy, dousing her with paint, attempting to set her on fire, and-when that didn't work--tossing her into a searing hot oven where she literally baked to death. According to trial testimony, the puppy thrashed about inside the oven, defecated on herself, and ground her claws down to bloody stumps as she tried in vain for many excruciating minutes to escape. The defendants face up to 90 years in prison, but could receive much less--or even no prison time at all, depending on how the judge rules. Sentencing is scheduled for February 9th.

URGENT: Your letters to the judge in support of the maximum sentence for these criminals are desperately needed! Letters should be sent as soon as possible. Unfortunately we can't send emails, but a form letter is included below--all you need to do is copy, paste, and print, then address and stamp the envelope and you're done. You can also fax the judge, but hard copies of letters carry more weight.  Downloadable form letters and more information on the case can be found at [linkhttp://georgiapuppytorture.blogspot.com/]http://georgiapuppytorture.blogspot.com/[/link].  Thank you for anything you can do to help honor the memory of this puppy.

RE: Sentencing for Justin Moulder and Joshua Moulder

    Dear Judge Moore:

I am writing to you in support of the maximum sentence of 90 years in
prison for Justin and Joshua Moulder.

In addition to defacing and burglarizing a community center, the
defendants duct-taped, doused with paint, set on fire, and baked a
puppy to death in a gas oven.  According to trial testimony, the puppy
thrashed about inside the oven, defecated on herself, and ground her
claws down to bloody stumps as she tried in vain to escape. The
suffering endured by this animal is beyond anything you or I can
    imagine.

Justin and Joshua Moulder's horrific actions required planning,
deliberation, and callous indifference to life. Furthermore, the
defendants showed no remorse after the fact, displaying the dead,
brutalized puppy and threatening neighborhood children who would
report the crimes. The research on animal abuse is clear: those who
torture animals are very likely to commit similar crimes against
people. Therefore, I firmly believe that these animal torturers should be
imprisoned for the rest of their natural lives, and I urge you to
impose the maximum penalty when they come before you for sentencing on
    February 9th.

    Sincerely,

Unfortunately, unless the prosecutor is a good one and the judge an animal advocate, these minors will not get anything close to the maximum.  What that article did not say is that the two brothers did this in front of children and threatened their lives if they told.

What a horrid world we live in.

All the more reason to add support.....  Sometimes the strength of public feeling about a crime does sway the judge in his sentencing.  And there's loads of contacts there to write to or fax, just so they know that eyes are watching and pressures on.

I signed the petition but I don't know if I can get a letter there in time. I'll mail one anyway just in case.
