Legitimate way to Stop Animal Cruelty in Canada!

Hello Canadian Animal lovers! Updates and Info from Tamara Chaney's Team about "Stop Animal Cruelty Petition" (initiated by Daisy-Duke's horrific death in Didsbury, AB, to prevent from happening to other animals!), supporting Bill C-373, being presented to House of Commons. We've gained huge support with MP's and Animal Services, but we still need to let all ;Public know about these legitimate ways to Help Stop Animal Cruelty in Canada! First off, ;Please note that Tamara's Petition Date has been extended until Dec.31! We feel it's in the best interest of this cause to reach more Canadians, so they may have the opportunity to voice their opinion's if they desire!   All the Petition Info/Updates/Links/Views can now be seen on Tamara's Group/Space at [linkhttp://groups.msn.com/StopAnimalCrueltyBillC373]http://groups.msn.com/StopAnimalCrueltyBillC373[/link] ! This was recently initiated in hopes that we can get to know Petition holders, they can list locations, and we can get an idea where may still be needed! We can also Answer questions and get Updates to all supporters fast! Discuss issues with others, get opinions, share views! Hope you'll support this method to get more organized and make you a closer part of the Team! Please join us in our mission to Stop Animal Cruelty by supporting Bill C-373 and have your Petition Location listed! Together, with Gov't and Public Support on this Petition we will make a difference! Many locations have thousands of signatures already! Thanx everyone! With your help we will get this Bill passed and have Protection for our Animals against Unnecessary Animal Cruelty and Abuse after over a century of debate! To remind everyone on the Ways to help (all included in Tamara's site mentioned above),1. Letters to MP's and Hon. Justice Minister Vic Toews, stating you support Bill C-373 and reject S-213! Find out how to contact your MP by visiting this site, [link>http://canada.gc.ca/directories/direct_e.html]http://canada.gc.ca/directories/direct_e.html[/link] ! Email Hon. Vic Toews at webadmin@justice.gc.ca . It's time to tell the Gov't you want Bill C-373 re-introduced as a Goverment Legislation to protect animals and give them a voice!2. Download, print, sign, - Tamara Chaney's "Stop Animal Cruelty Petition" found at [linkhttp://www.noka.org/]www.noka.org[/link] and return to her by Dec. 31, to be presented to House of Commons by MP Myron Thompson [linkhttp://www.myronthompson.com/]www.myronthompson.com/[/link] . MP's are counting on alot of signature support on this Petition!3. Miles Albrecht's Online Petition at [link >http://www.petitiononline.com/Midnite1/petition.html]http://www.petitiononline.com/Midnite1/petition.html[/link]  also supporting Bill C-373, will be printed and submitted by MP Mark Holland [link to>http://markholland.ca/]http://markholland.ca/[/link] to House of Commons for support. Note: Many petitions circulating, will unfortunately not be recognized as legal. As they do not contain Bill #'s, addresses or are missing other important information. They can be presented to any Member of Parliament in show of support, however, they cannot be ;physically presented to the House of Commons as they cannot be verified as all required info must be present. Also note that duplicate signatures result in one being rejected and you must be 16 to sign!  These two Petitions are in support of  Bill C-373 , to toughen fines, etc. without hurting those in animal industry. We want everyone to be aware that there are many other Petitions To Stop Animal Abuse and Cruelty, but some are in support of  Bill S-213 which doesn't protect all animals, and many believe could have negative effects on animal industries. Please be sure you educate yourself on differences of Bills, clarified further at [linkhttp://cfhs.ca/law/federal_legislation/]http://cfhs.ca/law/federal_legislation/[/link] before signing!    Also, the cost to run a country-wide petition apparently exceeds more than Tamara expected! If anyone would like to help, donations can be made to ANY Royal Bank of Canada. You will need the: Transit # 03529 and Account # 5035043, in order to make a financial donation. Donations are completely separate from Tamara's personal account, which can be confirmed at any Royal Bank of Canada! Remainder of donations, after Petition costs, will be transferred to the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies! We are neither encouraging nor discouraging anyone from attending Demonstrations at Didsbury Courthouse for "Daisy-Duke's" abusers. We are hoping that all attending will come together to do what's in the best interest for ALL animals and humanity and Act in a Responsible way, and not cater to barbaric acts or anger fuelled violence as we will be far more effective in this effort. Please feel free to support this cause in any way you can! Let's start protecting our animals without hurting industry sectors or environment! There has been no significant change to the Animal Cruelty Act since 1892! Thanx for helping Stop Animal Cruelty by supporting Bill C-373 and Tamara's Petition! Take care everyone and Thanx for all you currently do to help animals! A brief statement was made which can be found in "Hansard" or on "cpac", in which Myron asked (on our behalf) that current laws to animal welfare be updated. He also asked that it would be called "Daisy-Duke's" Petition, in memory of the pup that was killed in his riding, resulting in Tamara initiating this petition!

Hi, just a quick note to ask you to Please help us follow-up on Bill C-373 Stop Animal Cruelty Petitions supporting Bill C-373, by writing a quick letter to your MP or the Justice Minister!
This is critically important more now than ever as opposing Bill S-213 will be having 2nd hr of debate in the House soon, and from there goes for further reccomendation! If Bill S-213 is allowed to pass, things will remain virtually unchanged, the fines increase (same as C-373), but impossible to charge  because of vague wording.
We really need to let the Gov't know NOW that 111,896 people that signed Tamara Chaney's Petition, as well as many groups such as CVMA, CFHS, IFAW, SPCA, Brig's law, WSPA, etc, and hopefully you! Strongly support effective animal cruelty legislation like Bill C-373, and ask for rejection of S-213! Please help before it's too late and S-213 is allowed to pass!
Please go to any of these sites for more info or easy links to write and show your support for C-373 before another 115 yrs is wasted! Let's get some laws in place that will increase fines while allowing  intentional abusers to be charged, without hurting ranching, fishing, research or other industries!
Thank you animal lovers!
