• Michele68 Posted : 9/10/2013 1:49:22 PM Goldens are great dogs, especially for kids! Just find a good rescue or if you go the puppy route make sure its a responsible breeder, due to the popularity of this breed they can be over bred which can lead to heath and neurological issues. They have a wonderful personality that will put up with young kids pulling on ears and tails, but I do recommend training for both kids and dogs. I'm a trainer and have worked with many wonderful Goldens! If a smaller dog is in your future please think of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel they are wonderful with children.
