Oh gosh............................
SUMMIT COUNTY -- A Summit County deputy had to be treated for injuries after being bitten by an attacking dog.
Deputies say they were called out to Aldis Drive in the City of Green on Thursday after a man reported he had been bitten by a dog.
When deputies arrived, they found the 46-year-old man taking shelter inside a vehicle from a pit bull mix dog. The man had already been bitten by the animal.
The dog then reportedly went after one of the deputies biting him on the hand. A taser was used on the dog but it refused to release the deputy's hand. The deputy was eventually able to free himself from the dog's grip and one of the deputies discharged his firearm and shot the dog.
The animal did not survive.
Both the deputy and the victim are being treated for their injuries.
