Well we changed our minds [&:]

There were just too many complications, and I have never cried so much in my life. I don't know how I'm going to do it.

My husband just called them and told them we couldn't give Missi to them. They were okay with it, and her BF said they weren't even sure if Missi was the dog they wanted and that they were still looking. So I"m glad we got that figured out. Well anyway. I'll update if things change.

Oh, boy sorry that didn't work out.  I just thought I'd mention this too.  Here sometimes people want to find a new home for their dog but don't necessarily want the dog to have to be at the shelter.  So, our shelter will allow the current owners to keep the dog for as long as possible while they try to advertise the dog and find a suitable home.  This is good because they go thru the same screening process as the one for the dogs that are actually in house at the shelter.

Maybe you could look into something like that with your shelter for Missi.  It might take some of this pressure of finding people and also screening them off of you.

Yeah,,I'm sorry it didn't work also...but unless I am misunderstanding something here....there might be a good thing.  Your DH called to tell them,,,,, maybe that means he is also very concerned about Missi,,,and maybe having a change of heart?????
Afterall, I think you said Missi was his birthday present?

He does love Missi alot, and because of that we found the BEST family for Missi and the safest place for her...
Someone on this forum is taking her!
Have to guess who though [8D]

Thanks!  We're sooo excited.  Missi has the same birthday as all 3 of my best friends have had?  Or within a day for one of them.  Weird huh?

well I was going to say do a google search on the name of any adopter because you never know what you might find, but I guess that's not necessary now!  :)

Just to clarify why, we had a foster, Pepper actually, that we placed but didn't do a google search first.  Someone else did because the name sounded familiar and it turns out the person had charges of child abuse pending!  And just recently was actually jailed!!  Had we not panicked and got Pepper back through some deception, no telling where she'd be now.
