Michele - if you're busy keeping them entertained with good company, the food is the next thing they'll notice, and dust bunnies will be the last!  I hope you have a great time and impress yourself with how well you did!!  Enjoy!

Annie - that is about the cutest cast decorations I've seen in a long time!  :D

The system was down this morning, so I had to go down on the floor and help label products while we waited for it to get resolved- I wore a hairnet for the first time in my life! lol  I might save it and bronze it - KIDDING!

I have determined that black nail polish only lasts 4 1/2 days - today it has reached the chip zone.  Totally mindless today...

I had to laugh at the weather report on the news last night.  They made it sound like this is going to be the storm of the century ... "bring in your Halloween decorations, cover up or bring in your yard furniture" etc.  I tend to think *I'll believe it when I see it*

Yeah, usually when they act like that, we barely get a misting of rain. I guess it must be pretty boring to do weather around here. "Sunny and hot...blah, blah, blah" for almost 1/2 the year.

Man, that cast is way cool and your toesies are sooo pretty. You should go out and do something fun to show it off.

Nice cast & decoration, Annie!   You should do your toes in a Halloween theme to match.

Cathy, enjoy your day off on Monday!

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Lauren 10 out of 10 posters agree.

    Alcohol fixes everything.

ROFL, make that 11 out of 11.   There really isn't anything so bad that some alcohol and candlelight can't fix.  My sister told someone's child, at a holiday dinner, who piped up and asked her why she had cobwebs on the ceiling.  My sister never missed a beat or blinked an eyelash when she said "because I haven't taken down my Halloween decorations".

If I wasn't part of the original 10, make it 12.

Jackie - Your sister sounds like my kind of pal. I've just recently noticed some pretty nasty cobwebs in the high up nooks at my house lately. If people come visit and bother to look for those kinds of things, they won't be disappointed. They'll probably be too busy staring in amazement at all the dog hair though.

I have had a tough week and have had two beers and am soooooooooooooooooooo sleepy

I want to come back with a functioning liver in my next life LOL

    • Gold Top Dog

    Viable livers are overrated Karen.

I am home alone because DH & the kids are having "boys night out."  They went go kart racing.  I love go kart racing.....

That would make me #13 (how appropriate, lol!).

Such a busy week at work.  Not that I'm complaining...it's GOOD to be busy!  It means we are making money!!

I haven't read through everyone's posts, but would like to wish Lauren an incident-free Thanksgiving dinner this weekend.  I know it will turn out wonderfully.

Amanda, I'm sorry you didn't get to go go-karting.  Make them take you next time!

Weekend plans will basically consist of doing yard work.  Not so much fun, but it needs to get done.

    I'm in shock.  Utter shock.

My normally very savvy and intelligent brother and SIL have informed me they've gotten involved in a pyramid scheme.  And they think they're going to get rich!  WTF????

So after I talked to my SIL, my responses curt and pretty much silent, I called my mom.  I thought she should know what her son was doing.  Then SHE called my brother and talked to him about it, so now I know they know I called her, and they're probably majorly p*ssed at me.

I hate drama, but I hate to see my brother lose his money.  I'm at a loss here...

    • Gold Top Dog

Does he realize that, unless you are at the top of the pyramid, you're pretty much going to get screwed?  Smack him for not using his head!

I have almost finished my bottle of wine.  Aside from having to pee very frequently, I'm doing pretty good! Drinks

    • Gold Top Dog

Ooooh pyramid schemes are BAD!  One of our clients (I work for a lawyer) got involved in one of those, and we had to be in contact with the FBI and the Ontario Securities Commission etc., etc., etc., these people were being investigated, and actually the man who "sold" our clients to this was arrested just a couple weeks ago.  They put A LOT of money into it, and now don't know if they will ever get it back.

    Not a good idea...

Believe me, if he didn't live 2 states away, I would smack him!!  I still can't believe they fell for it and think it's going to make them rich.

I might send them a link to the SEC website that has a diagram showing that in order for one pyramid scheme company to be sustainable, the number of people involved would have to be greater than the population of the earth!!

On a good note, the dogs let me sleep in this morning.  Good boys!!
