    Some very sad news...

Some of you know about my dad's Chihuahua Crazy Daisy Devil Dog. Over the weekend, they were visiting family when his BIL's Pit Bull puppy got loose from his collar and attacked Daisy. She was rushed to the E-Vet and they did surgery on her. They felt all was well with her and she'd recover fine. On Wednesday, my dad noticed that her skin was turning black so he took her to the vet. It turns out the skin was dying and they had to do more surgery and grafting. She was taken to an animal hospital that specializes in things like that and they did surgery. They thought she'd be fine but they called him today to let him know that her surgery site was not closing properly and the skin was dying. They were going to do surgery again but my dad decided that Daisy has been through enough. They are going to the hospital today to say goodbye to her and to send her to the Rainbow Bridge. Run free sweet baby...

Aw, Meilani, this is so sad for your dad.  Looks like Crazy Daisy brought a lot of happy, joyful moments into your family.  Focusing on that adorable little face as we say our goodbyes and send wishes for a gentle passing surrounded with love.
    Run Free, Daisy!

Awww, Meilani = take that picture with you of Daisey & the turkey -- then tell your Dad that is EXACTLY what was waiting for her at the foot of Rainbow Bridge.  It can be different for many dogs, but when you get a visual like that it's ... well, it's a natural!!!  And yeah -- at Rainbow Bridge when you're done eating your fill it is perfectly acceptable to just curl up on the platter and go to sleep.  (and when each animal has their own little private 'party' like this ... well heck -- this IS Rainbow Bridge -- they each get their own version of what it's like!!)

My condolences for your family -- I'm not making light of it.  But when a dog has a name like "Crazy Daisy" then it's a dog that is well loved with lots and lots of superb memories.  May those wonderful memories help get them thru this.  What a sad sad thing.
