I found this info in the following link: [linkhttp://www.2ndchance.info/caninelaborstages.htm]http://www.2ndchance.info/caninelaborstages.htm[/link]

"Your dog#%92s temperature should be between 101 and 102.5 Fahrenheit. When the pet#%92s temperature drops below 100F she should deliver the pups in less than twenty-four hours."

It's now 12:46 and Elly Mae has given birth to six puppies. We can feel two more inside her. Here is the birth log:

    August 14, 2007
Elly Mae went into labor at 12:50.

Her first puppy was born at 7:40. He is a black male with white feet. His name is Oliver.

Her second puppy was born at 8:23. She is a brown female with a white chest and two white paws. Her name is Lily.

The third puppy was born at 9:12. It is a female that is blackish brown with a Rhodesian ridgeback#%92s stripe down its back. It has a white spot above its eye, a white chest and white back feet. We named her Shasta.

The fourth puppy was born at 10:13. She is a yellow female with a white chest and a white tail tip. We named her Molly.

The fifth puppy was born at 11:47 and is a black male named Bally.

Intense nesting....those are fleece throws she is trying to rip apart lol.

She will NOT push if bedding is present to rip....but once I remove bedding she immediately begins active pushing. Silly girl!

Kind of like me with the gas and air!!!!!

Really hope mum and pups are doing well.  We need pix!!

I, TOO, missed the whole thing.  Bummer!  Any weights available?  What about the two remaining babies?  Any pix?  How is momma doing?  Other than that, I have no real questions.[8D]

She only gave birth to one more puppy. It was a black =D We did not take their weights.

Elly Mae growled at them and even bit one and threw it against the bed...she is nursing them but we need to gently rub their bottoms in an upward motion to stimulate them to go pee & poo. I sure hope they are going to end up okay.

Elly Mae is extremely skinny, all of her bones are sticking out (poor girl). She went potty and is walking around okay, though.

    We're getting one!

Also, yes, I took tons of pictures but they are on her camera so we've got to wait until she uploads them and puts them on a disc for me :)

Thanks for your support and help everyone!!! [:D]

PLEASE make sure her calcium level is kept up. Bitches with low calcium can get really ugly with puppies. Use vanilla ice cream if you have to or Tums...but get some into her. Watch her for any trembling or shaking

Also...did you count placentas to make sure none were left inside? Or administer a clean out shot of oytocin? If not she should see a vet for one ASAP...take her temp every day for the next week to be quick to notice any fever...which is bad. 102 or higher is a fever, also put some apple cider into her water or food as this staves off mastitis.

If she is lacking milk...fenugreek is a cooking herb that will bring it in in buckets. Keep those pups warm and toasty and make sure they are all eating.
    Congrats!

That's very sage advice Gina. [:)] I'm probably going to write some of that down in case I ever... in the very distant future.... possibly breed. [:D]

I hope Elly Mae and the puppies are still doing well. I can't wait to see pics of them!

Elly Mae is licking them and protecting them now! Thank god! We are going over there Thursday so I will get pictures with my camera so we don't have to wait for her to make a disc...who knows how long that might take, and I know you all can't wait!! [;)]
