    Happy Birthday, Barbara!

Anyone on Facebook should check out the pics under the "Correct Spelling, Punctuation and Apostrophe Use" page. I think this link will work:

Thanks everybody for the D-Day, I mean B-Day wishes.  DH came home for lunch and brought me roses, a card and (OMG) cheesecake.  Guess what I had for lunch?!?

Oh my goodness...I will have check out that link.  Too funny; or too sad, can't decide which.

I have a dream:  make sure dyslexics don't make any signs for me.

Ahhh, it was inevitable, I guess.  I still think of the parody video on YouTube every time a Snuggie commercial comes on.  I won't post a link here, because it is certainly not "safe for work," but if you go to YouTube and enter Snuggie parody into the search...you'll see it.

Hey, is there any cheesecake left??  That'd be the perfect dessert to the chicken I have baking in the oven.

In case anyone's interested in something new to do with boneless/skinless chicken breasts, this is what I'm making right now.  It's my SIL's recipe, and is way easy and soooo yummy:

    Stuffing-crusted Chicken Breasts

3-4 b/s chicken breasts (or however many you need to feed your peeps)
    Ranch dressing
    Milk
Dry stuffing (the kind in a bag, like Pepperidge Farm), any flavor you like (I like cornbread)

    Preheat oven to 350
In a bowl, mix 1/4c - 1/2c ranch dressing with enough milk to make it thin out a bit
Coat chicken breasts in ranch dressing/milk mixture
Place dry stuffing in a plastic Ziploc bag
Put chicken breast in bag, seal, and shake until well coated

Place chicken in baking dish sprayed with cooking oil
    Cover tightly with foil
    Bake 30 minutes
    Remove from oven, remove foil
Turn chicken breasts over in dish
Return to oven, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until thoroughly cooked (makes the breading nice and crispy)

SOOOO YUMMY, and I usually don't even like stuffing!

    CHEESECAKE!!!! Happy Birthday!

I'm going for a run, since BF's mom wanted to take *just him* out for dinner. Fine.

The spider bite is not good.  The doctor lanced it, then dug out all of the nasty stuff, & then he packed it with gauze.  I now have a hole in my thigh that is about 3" deep by 2" wide that is stuffed full of gauze.  The actual lancing & cleaning wasn't horribly painful.  The packing was. Crying

DH & I are supposed to be going to Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson concert tonight.  I'm not sure that's going to happen now.

    Ouch, Amanda!  Antibiotics?

    Happy Birthday Barbara.

Well, thankfully the limping Thor has been doing that freaked me out is soft tissue damage likely from his bad habit of jumping off the porch into my flower beds. Whew!  The minute I noticed him limping I had flashbacks of our shepherd mix, Duke.  Same leg even, right front, and we lost Duker to bone cancer, so I was really relieved that Thor is ok.  However, I wish the vet would have told me that the NSAID he was injecting Thor with was Rimydil (sp), BEFORE he did it.  He has to take tablets for the next week as well.  So......what side affects do I need to be on the lookout for?

Happy Birthday Barbara! MIL was supposed to go to Paris for her 50th. She is a few days away from her 51st and it still hasn't happened, but she has faith that it will!  Cheesecake... must get cheesecake.....

Amanda, that doesn't sound good overall.  What does packing it hope to accomplish, that normal coverings wouldn't?  Ouchies.  Hope you heal well!

We still have the darn yellow jacket problem.  DH called exterminators this evening, we may have no choice.  He's put a total of 3 buckets boiling water, 6 cans of spray, a boatload of spray foam, a ton of giant rocks, some mesh screening and a partridge in a pear tree Smile on them and now they've come out about 6' away from where they started.  It might just bee (teehee) one ginormous underground city for all we know!  Does $150 sound about right for such procedures?  2 month warranty as well?  Again, I reiterate, whose bright idea was it that owning our own home was a wonderful idea?  Sheesh.  between this and the floor, not to mention the other zillion smaller projects, you'd think the house was 660 yrs old instead of only 6.

    Ouch, Amanda!  Antibiotics?

Yep, & vicodin, which I can't take while at work or when the kids are around because it makes me EVIL.

I'm glad that Thor is ok.  Watch for lethargy and/or vomitting.  The injection is only effective for 24 hours, & a single dose is pretty safe.  It's long term rimadyl use that's a bit more risky.

Ouch is right!  Sorry it's so bad Amanda, what bad luck.  Hope it heals soon.

Glenda, I'm glad Thor will be ok, with some rest.

Megan, what rudeness not to invite you for dinner. pfft to her.  I'm starving but it's too early to eat dinner.
