Okay, if anyone EVER did this to either of my dogs there would be a serious throw down!! Whether the dog was physically hurt or not, no one should ever lay their hands on them in any way other than a loving way..... I would probably react before thinking and that would be it. I guess it's that maternal instinct...

As far as company goes, whenever we have company the girls do get over excited, jumping and begging for attention - probably because we *don't* have company very often. Fortunately, the people that I do have over like dogs and are really nice about it. Once company sits down, Abbie is usually the first to find her way to their lap and it's never been a problem. If someone doesn't care for my dogs, they don't have to come over to our house, we can visit elsewhere.

When the pizza delivery person or a repair person comes over, I put them in my bedroom.
