How Do You Pick Your Pup´s Name?

 Bevo huh? So does that mean his momma went to UT Austin, as in Bevo the longhorn mascot??

Daisy got her name because when we got her, the shelter had shaved her, but left a weird looking lion head on a shih tzu, which looked like a big flower, so that stuck. My roommate used to call her Daisy Doodle. She actually started to answer to "doodle dog" (no poodle in her though!)

 Louie was named already (bless his heart), but we were almost going to call him Charlie, but every time I called him that, I used the "charlie the unicorn" voice, and that annoyed everybody.

Lucky's story is my favorite to tell! We got him from the shelter, and we were the 3rd person on the waiting list to get him. (In this town, small dogs at shelters are REALLY hard to come by.) Well, the first person ended up getting a poodle puppy, and the second person on the list never showed up, so we ended up with him! And, another reason he is "Lucky" is because when the AC officers found him, he was tied to a tree in the median of a busy 3 lane highway. Thank doG they tied it tight! Some people are dumb!

He also answers to "muck-luck!"

Jazzy is sort for Jazira, a name that my daughter fell in love with from the movie 'Hildalgo'.

Lacie (Princess Lacie Lu) - she just looked like a Lacie!

Keisha (Woodlands Sunny Caniche) - short for Caniche which means poodle.

Zoe (Woodland's Splash of Color)- Because it fit - she's full of life!

Rex (Woodland's Royal Rex)  - after the dinosaur on 'Night in a Museaum"!!  He reminded us of the dinosaur, the way he bounds around.  All his movement is so big!

We named our pup Tanner because we all liked it and we think its a good fit, like for his colour and such. We were introduced to the name when we got our first dog, a WSS. His daddy's name was Tanner and I guess it always stuck with us!
