I think Floridians did too much raindancing. I can't even walk poor Pirate, I think I might have to carry him to the car and then go somewhere else to take him for a walk.

*sigh* I'm over the rain. Has been raining since Sunday night here!

I swear - if Casey had 2 legs he'd be hopping around my house with his legs crossed. He will NOT pee in the rain... I've been trying to get him out in between downpours.... poor guy.

Try having *30* - our yards are flooded at work, so they've had an extra person come in every shift to walk the dogs out to the one dry patch out there so they don't run in the mud. Sigh.

Jackie, I'm too chicken! She keeps asking but I haven't committed yet, LOL.

It is absolutely gorgeous here, & I'm in love with the giant cactus.  (Someone told me the actual name of these cactus, but I can't remember what it is now!)

What does it look like?  (Are you still in TX, or are you visiting someplace AWESOME like Arizona? lol)

Sarah - that's so sweet about your husband's birthday surprise.  I honestly think those are some of the most fun presents, so bring family or friends together who haven't seen eachother in a while.

Today is my sister's birthday and I actually baked her cupcakes.  With a Coraline theme.  Don't ask how old she is, because she's older than me.

Painting started on her house today, so luckily I was home w/the four-legged-terrors.  Henry is such a PITA.  Reminds me I need to update my siggie to remove the ex's dogs and add my sister's.  Well, actually, I will need to take pics of them and then ask some kind soul to make me a new siggy in the siggy thread. :)

Glenda - congrats about the house!!!!

(I'm off to go check out Cathy's news in her ultrasound thread...)

Glenda, congrats!!  That's so great.  I'll bet you can hardly wait to get all your stuff out of storage, get settled in and finally start to live like *normal* people. Smile

I've got the bare essentials with me, so we can live in the house, but, yeah, it's going to be very nice to have all my "stuff" again.

I'm so looking forward to a bath!  I can take one in the shower stall, but, it's smallish, six sided, and I kind of look like a frog sitting there with my legs in funky positions to FIT!

Yay, Glenda! You are a true FL resident now :)

I wouldn't call it "awesome" but Tucson is nice. Smile  The cacti are quite tall.  (Think, sunset pics with the cactus in the frame.)

Sarah, have fun this weekend.  Austin is a great city, & I know that you'll have a great time.

    Glenda, congrats!!!

Karen, Bugsy wants a Nigerian Dwarf Goat as well.Stick out tongue  Furthermore, Bevo says that if Bugs gets a goat, he's coming to eat, errr "visit" Bugsy's new pet.

This is a useless trip.  I had one meeting this morning, & then I spent the rest of the day hiking with Bev, a colleague, & her dog.  Bev is a "leaner" and today it bit him in the butt, literally!  We were taking pics next to one of the giant cactus, & Bev, as is normal, was leaning his butt against me.  He shifted to lean the other direction, and put his butt into the cactus.  I spent the next 20 minutes pulling cactus spines out of his butt.  Indifferent

This evening, I got a massage.  It was so relaxing, & I was almost asleep when I felt a cold, wet nose touching my nose.  I opened my eyes in time to see Bev's tongue coming at me.  The poor massage therapist must have thought that I was nuts as I jerked back to get away from the licking, & saying "dammit Bevo, you know better."

I have an early meeting tomorrow, & then it's back to having to find something to do to entertain myself.  I really want to go shopping.

I love the saguaro, but the ocotillo are in bloom there now and I love those even more, with the tall spikes topped with red/orange sprays.  I'm totally jealous that you're in Tucson.  Not all of it is nice, but do some hiking in Sabino Canyon if you get a chance - some easy hikes with great views of the city, particularly from Blackett's Ridge.

Oh, and if you want to go shopping, there's a plaza called La Encantada on Skyline Drive and Campbell which has some decent shops like BCBG, Tiffany's, Anthropologie, etc, plus some nicer restaurants.  There was a cool shop up there called Muttropolis, but it looks like they closed out.  Armitage is a nice wine bar to just hang out and relax and enjoy some adult beverages, too. here's their website: http://www.armitagewine.com/tucson/index.html  North is a restaurant w/a nice view of the city during the day (lunchtime) and night- there's plenty of people who stop in there for booty shaking dancing in the evenings, though, so be warned if you don't want to be hit on.   Cool

One  more edit - please eat dinner here at least once!!!  Bring friends if they've never been.  It's casual enough, but the food and presentation is YUMMMMMY!! http://cafepocacosatucson.com/ Extra ambiance at night.
