Thank you, everyone. I have a sleeping Lumos on my lap making it hard to type, but I just had to say thanks for finding him as beautiful and endearing as I do.

Oh, he is so cute! I met my trainers 8 week old border collie pup on Friday and now Lumos! I want a puppy now! I have an extra space in my home, maybe I should start looking...

I have always said there is nothing as cute as a husky puppy....Now...I'm not so sure! And you know I don't say that lightly! My gosh! How can you stand it! He wouldn't be able to sleep here, I'd be mauling him constantly!

How wonderful for you! It's hard to believe it's finally happened and now here he is! Yay! Now it's time for the dream to become Living With a Maremma. Funny, I had a weird dream about Lu and a puppy last night, probably because of you and also my puppy's breeder is also expecting a litter of Maremma puppies in May.

Ben is named after a character in a fantasy novel, I wanted to follow that theme with Lumos, too. It's sort of a long story, I came up with his registered name first because it had to conform to certain restrictions, then chose "Lumos" as his call name. THEN we had to change his registered name, but to something I actually prefer. His registered name is [kennel name] Incantesimo, which is the Italian for "incantation". "Lumos" is the spell/incantation used in Harry Potter to create a white light at the end of a wand, taken of course from the latin root "lum", basis of a lot of words regarding light.
