She has no interest and from everything I have ever read, the more you push the more they resist.

I have the same thoughts as you on this one.  Starting late won't cause problems.  Starting too early will cause pressure, frustration and anxiety, when there need not be any, and will make the process harder.  Will is clearly not ready yet, so I am not pushing it. Smile  A few people say "is he using his potty yet" and I shrug and say "sometimes".  He's had a couple of poos on it and thats it.  Yesterday he was making Poo Noises and I said "would you like to sit on the potty and do that?" and he said "no mummy".  So I said "OK" and arried on with what I was doing.

we just read to ours from babyhood on. I wouldn't personally buy anything but more books...
This is exactly how I feel. I read something one time about a 3 step teach-your-kids-to-read program. These are the steps:
    1) Read to them.
    2) Read to them.
    3) Read to them. Smile

But I honestly really hate it when anyone sets out to "teach" anyone else something. Whether their "pupil" is a kid or adult... I just think it's patronizing. I strongly believe that kids can pick up the basics (reading, useful math, writing, etc.) just by living, and more advanced stuff...well if they need to know it, they'll learn it on their own, or ask someone to help them learn it. We don't give kids enough credit...
