Aren't planned litters the best?! I remember exactly how you felt not very long ago with my little boy Kaden!! I knew about him before his Mum was ever pregnant and I love the fact that I have pictures of him from the moment he was born until now.

It's going to be a long 8 weeks for you!! Oye, I went to visit him every single weekend I couldn't help myself...

I'm so happy/excited for you!!! I can totally relate!!

you poor girl, you did more than your share to help the Maremma population!! You deserve a Medal for that! ... and a giant steak :)

She really did, didn't she?  No wonder she looks tired.

YAY KATE!!! I'm so, so, SO happy he's finally arrived and my baby *MYSTER NAME* nephew has finally made his appearance. I can't wait to watch him grow... and grow.... and grow.... and grow..... :)

HAHAHA you sounded almost as excited as I am when we were on the phone LOL.   He will certainly grow and grow and grow!

This was...very planned LOL.  It took a lot of hard work and dedication on the breeder's part to overcome some obstacles that created major problems.

No longer than the 8 weeks since I found out the breeding had taken place LOL.  At least now I get pictures and updates, and to meet him in a month or so.  Big Smile

I'm so happy to hear you found a breeder that went the extra mile with you. I have so much respect for people like that. I hope you and the breeder will continue to have a long everlasting relationship throughout the puppy's life!

Yippe!!! The puppys are here! I am so excited for you! And just like everyone else looking forward to seeing more pictures as they grow!

    • Gold Top Dog

PUPPIES!!!!!  How cute!  I miss hearing the pitter-patter of little paws!

    • Gold Top Dog

Oh my gosh! Look at those little pink noses! They're adorable!!!!

BTW, I know what you guys meant about having a connection with certain breeds. I'm like that big time with Labs. I just feel like I'm meant to always be with one.

    • Gold Top Dog

They are so cute!!!!  Its a very good thing we have more puppies to watch,  since Laverne and Shirley are growing up we definately dont want to go into withdrawls...lol!   I am so excited to watch the Maremma's.   We have 3 homes in our little country community that have G. Pyr. I cant wait to see the differences between them.  You will have to help educate us.

I think it's a really special thing to find that, and I feel really lucky that I have - and at the same time that I've met and spoken with wonderful people who have been supportive and shared their knowledge with me.  That's especially useful for me since Maremmas are rare and present some unique challenges.

    Squeeeeee!  PUPPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Squeeee is right!  Oh my goodness...look at those adorable little pink noses.  So sweet!  I cannot wait until you get your baby and we watch him or her grow.  Yay!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Awwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! They're so soft and squishable and... there's a million of them!

    • Gold Top Dog

There are indeed a bunch of them LOL, more than were expected on the results of the scan, which predicted 9, *maybe* 10...but 11 was the magic number.

Those pink noses are already disappearing, the pigmentation is developing and the nosies will soon be entirely black.

    • Gold Top Dog

They are precious, and mama is beautiful, too.

    • Gold Top Dog

Wow - ELEVEN?  And to think I complained about just having to heave out ONE!

They are goregous!  Your excitement is infectious Smile  With L & S wearing growed up collars (I can't even LOOK) and heading off for pastures new before long, these lil babies turned up bang on time....!!!
