Would you use a dog walker that...

If the walker has a calm helper dog you can observe while in the presense of other dogs, there is proof in the puddin' in that dog's behavior. I would not hire a walker who had a "reactive" dog.

I guess you would not be hiring me then Confused....even though I had no control over how Apollo was treated by his previous owner and he CAME to me reactive right off the bat. Since then, yup, we've worked through it and he's fine. And, btw, I have stellar, rock solid referances and excellent clients.

Oh, I'd probably hire you. Taking a dog from messed-up to rehabilitated is a biggie, IMO.

I should have clarified my statement a bit. My Tia was also on a road to recovery when I got her, but we've now resolved her past and she's great at helping me with aggressive dogs.

It does depend on the situation, the dog, and the point at which a dog may be in their rehabilitation.

I trust my gut in evaluating (in person is best) a canine professional who's dogs are a work in progress, and which are owner created problems involving denial and excuses.

Well, I want to say I'm sorry if it sounded like I took it a little too personal- it's that time of the month, ya know! Smile
