I met with the manager yesterday and was with her for *7* hours!!!!!!! I feel really confident about the position at this point. We looked at another apartment and did a little negotiating, since the issue came up before the position was "officially" offered to me. Choosing the right apartment is really important to me because I don't want to transfer later on. I think we've come to an agreement, but I still have some negotiating to do with the Regional Manager on Tuesday. We spoke about many of the company policies and she brought up the hosiery issue. Apparently she disagrees with it and it's not going to be an issue. Our work ethics are very similar. She is really cool, I like her a lot - otherwise I wouldn't have spent as much time with her. Getting along with the people you work with is so important! (As we all know!!)

I am exhausted!!!!!!! Turned the alarm clock off without realizing it and slept through church, which I'm bummed out about. I can't wait for Tuesday, in the meantime I'll be packing and preparing for my daughter's visit from Japan in 11 days!!!!! WWHHHEEEEEE!!! :)

Please keep us in your thoughts, I'll let ya'all know what the outcome is!

That's great news (especially about the hosiery Wink ). I'm so happy and relieved for you. I'm sure you're not going to feel totally relieved until it's all a done deal, but it sounds like you're almost there.

Things sound like they are really going your way. You deserve it!! I know you're meeting again today, with the regional manager? Anyway I hope you're able to get an offer you can live with.

After a 3.5 hour interview today, they want me!!!! They are doing the background checking and we are still negotiating salary, etc. So....... I don't want to say anything for definitely sure, cuz I don't want to jinx it. I will be back here tomorrow to "officially' report the outcome. I'm feeling really optimistic and *almost* relieved ~ and really exhausted!!! Gotta get some sleep tonight and get serious about packing tomorrow!! :-D

Thanks all...... don't think I'll sleep much again tonight. I'm so excited!!! I have so much on my mind between getting the job, my daughter coming in to town from Japan next week and moving. It's a lot and I'm making my lists trying to coordinate everything so I'm not like a dog chasing my tail!! Once I get the job and get moved in, I'll post some pics of my new digs here! I can't wait to be all moved and settled in - waking up in the morning, sitting on my 2nd floor balcony, looking out over the lake watching the sun come up and the otters and gators swim and play, listening to smooth jazz and sipping my mint coffee!!! mmmmmm And, if it's cold ~ a fire in the fireplace!!!!!!!

I took the drug test today, but we are still working out the salary details. Until I have a written offer in hand I don't want to say I have it..... BUT, I *will* post it here as soon as it's "official!" I know they want me to start Monday, so I feel pretty certain that we can work through the numbers..... :)

I can't tell you how happy I am that this is working out for you. I'm sure if they want you to start on Monday, soon you'll have that offer in hand. My fingers are still crossed for you. (((hugs)))
