My girl is missing/FOUND (lilysmum_07)

Lily has been missing for over an hour and it's dark and raining. Ben took her over to his cousins house down the road while I was in class and he said after he got off the phone with me she was gone. She was swimming in the pond and then she was gone. A guy who was over there said that when he was leaving he saw her in the field booking it to the woods. So now my effing dog is probably hot on the trail of an animal and lost. I'm on my way over right now with the spot light to look for her and I'm not coming home until I find her.

I need some good vibes/wishes/prayers guys. Whatever you've got. I've lost two pets this year alone, I don't want to lose another. I'm terrified of answering the phone to hear that she's dead or something. This is ridiculous and irresponsible of Ben. I'm so sick of him not listening to me when it comes to Lily. He feeds her table scraps when I ask him not to, he takes her out in the field where she gets ticks like I ask him not to....I could serioulsy kill him right now.

Prayers are with you!! Bring some really stinky treats and maybe something that smells like you that you can leave somewhere near by.

Maybe this will help Ben understand what you're saying.. I know losing Crombie made Alex open his eyes up to what I was saying about him. Crappy way to learn thou.

I tell you what, those good vibes must really work! We found her about 20 minutes ago a mile away from where she started out. We were walking up the dirt road in the opposite direction. We were at the top of a hill and I heard barking. We ran down to the truck and Ben must have good hearing because he knew she was on the main road. Sure enough we find her on Route 2 on someone's lawn. Not sure if they had dogs but she was the only one out there. She knew she was in trouble, cowering all the way to the truck and whining all the way home.

We walked out into the woods and hollerd and whisteled. I'm soaked and cold and sooo tired! I checked her over for any porcupine quills and am going to search her for ticks (she's been getting a lot lately).

Thank you all so much for your good vibes and prayers! I'm so glad to have her home. It seems like one thing after another with this dog..sheesh. I can't find an obedience class until next month, so hopefully that helps us out. I hope Ben will listen to me from now on and get the idea that I just want her safe. It's not that I don't trust him, but you turn your head for one minute and she's gone. He thinks he has her "trained." Yea, my *** she's trained! Oh well, we'll have a nice talk about it tomorrow. For now I'm off to bed.
