Mindless Chatter - Thurs

Oh my!  I haven't been on here too much lately, and mostly in NDR and I didn't know Dakota was gone.  (((hugs)))

Sending hugs too, and glad you have a house of goofy Aussies to be with you.

Luna has agility tonight and I think we are officially agility freaks. We love it! I feel like a kid excited about going to my riding lessons all week. It's fun to have that back in my life. We are working on serpentines and are now in a semi-private class that is really great and geared toward competing. It's a blast.

I need to do more hind end awareness exercises with her to get her contacts to be stronger. I didn't train that throughly enough and need to go back to basics. Plus, I think she'll be showing in 2009 so she needs to know she has a rear and how to use it!

 

I thought about you a lot yesterday and last night Julie. I'm glad you're not alone and have the rest of your fur family to keep you busy and well-loved.

I was off on Monday and you'd think that'd make this feel like a short week but everyday I wake up thinking it's a day later than it really is. I'm actually taking the next couple of Mondays off and looking forward to short weeks.

The weather here is gorgeous. Sunny, low to mid 70s. It could stay like this all fall & winter and I'd be happy. Well, I'd be happy until we had to deal with the consequences of no rain.

Well with all the drama over ebay/yahoo this morning the day has flown by.  I am going to leave work a little early since we still have a lot to do.  Riley is leaving for my mom's tonight so at least we don't have to juggle that tomorrow morning.  I can't believe how sad I am leaving her.  We have gone away for weekends before, but this is the longest.  I think Charlie can sense we are leaving.  He always gets restless when the suitcases come upstairs. 

I keep thinking about what I will be doing this time tomorrow - 2:00 pm we will probably just be getting through customs  - I figure by 4:00 I will be in my bathing suit and sitting with my feet in the pool.  YEAH!

Don't forget to use sunscreen and have a drink for me. I'm really regretting not planning a trip there this year, but things continue the way they are with the economy, it should've be even cheaper next year

my day is good so far, took the girls on a great bicycle jog, i posted about it in general chat. I was so proud of them! they looked so cute in their booties. Theres just way too much debris on the streets to let them go barefoot.

I dont have class until sunday night, it feel like  vacation! I only have 3 more weeks left of black belt training! woo!!!  The vehicle assualts were better than expected, I actually felt like I was kicking some butt. I think overall i'm just getting desensitized to all the abuse ( fighting). Although last friday was crazy - in the lights off bed attack was brutal, all i saw was flashes of white light - which means I was taking some solid punches to the head. that was difficult, I felt like i was knocked stupid.

my sewing addiction has slowed down a bit. planning on making something tonight. probably another dog coat! lol  its just too much fun making doggie stuff.  Thought I should make some bicycle bags too.  I made a arm warmer that I think is fantastic although i need to remake them since my measurements were too small. Its a arm warmer that has waterproof nylon on the top & is lined with polar fleece, on the palm it has a hexagon ( stop sign) shape in reflective fabric, and on top of the hand it has a reflective arrow - so when you signal on your bicycle it will give drivers the right idea - complete with visibility & shapes!!

 I cleaned out the kennel today. Now to wash my shoes. Dumb ol me forgot to change shoes. Joker is not allowed in the kennel until I get a floor cemented in. Little pain in the butt has dug holes under the fence. I wonder how long it would be before he learns how to climb it? He's too smart for his own good. At least I can go ahead and get a cover on it.

JJ has a cold and is being a big baby. Think it's time for me to get a hotel room. Gonna fix him yucky beans,cornbread,and fried potatoes for supper. I dont like beans.

I start my part time job tomorrow. Should be fun sitting in a room for 4 hours watching safety videos I have already seen 6 times.

I've been cleaning at work today, in between phone calls and paperwork.  I am the only person of the female persuasion here and apparently you have to be female in order to see the need to clean!  At least around these guys.  I put up little signs that say "I am NOT your Mother" but I need to get some better way to make these guys clean up their act.  Maybe I'll hire a janitorial service and send each one a share of the bill.

I'm still looking forward to trying Neiko out in dock diving tomorrow. I have to get a new pair of water proof pants so I don't have to be wet all day. That's assuming he does take a dive that is. I am envisioning him barking at me like crazy. I wonder if I can use more than 1 toy?

Hey Julie the waterproof pants won't help you if you take "one too many steps" at the end of the dock!!! LOL Oh I have some steps too far stories. Fortunately I have not done that...yet. I am sure my day will come. I just hope it is at a SUMMER event. 

In dock jumping it is supposed to be "one toy, one throw" but Milt is nice ESPECIALLY with newbies. He loves this sport and wants all dogs to give it a try. Oh I replied to you on the UAD board. hee hee. 

Man I have been a busy little beaver with work. WHOOO DOGGIE (in the immortal words of Andy Griffith). I got a lot done today, and even though I felt like I was chasing my tail yesterday, I think I made some headway. 

Hey PPA - I am completely addicted to agility too. I like that the dogs really seem to enjoy it. I was offered another dog to run on Monday, I was honored with the thought but I will see what my trainer says. This is a FAST corgi, and the owner wants to go for her MACH. Not sure "I" am the right handler for the job. Heck I have only run my Belle (and Teddi) and started trialing last April. I would love the opportunity, but I understand if another handler is suggested. It sure would be different running LARGE Belle, then going to a Corgi. HEE HEE

I am dragging today! 

I made the mistake of letting Shooter come to work with Bevo today.  Shoe is in the mood to start crap.  He has decided that trying to hump Bevo is a good idea.  I'm thankful that Bev is tolerant.  He got up, & climbed up on to the couch.  Shooter looked so disappointed.

DH comes home tomorrow!  It hasn't been a very fun week without him, so I can't wait for him to get home.

It is hard not to fall asleep. Especially when they turn the lights out!! I have seriously done seen the videos 6 times. If you fall asleep and they catch you they send you home and no more job. Safety is very important when working at Amazon.com.  I know what to do just put me to work!! 

 I love that video of the Man cold cuz Alex did that to me once when he caught my cold. I ignored him for the rest of the day..Well he didn't call 911 but the rest of it he did. Lol.

Today is another boring day.. Listening to my roommate yell at his dog for whining even though Wolf hasn't been out yet today.. I've already spoken to him about it today..*sigh*

Sandy is curled up in her spot behind my back on the computer chair. Had to intervene today during the play session. Maze seems to forget that she outweighs Sandy by 30somthing pounds. Sandy smacked her head on the chair hard enough to yelp so play time stopped for now.

I'm really hoping I hear something back from the places I applied to today. *crosses fingers* Even if it's back at my old job at Extra Foods. I don't care anymore!! As it is, I'm conisdering doing some selling on Ebay and getting rid of a bunch of old books I don't want any more..

On that note, I've lost 3 Harry Potter books!! *cries* I was gonna sit down today and read all 7 but I've only found the first book and the last 3.. Not impressed but I know they're around here somewhere.
