Upset Over Craigslist Ads

Horrible!  I see sooo many stupid ads on Craigslist, it makes me so angry.  I'm glad you are emailing them, who knows if it will get through to them, but maybe it will make them pause and think about what they are doing.

*sigh* Me too - they do the same thing here AND then FLAG the Pit Recuse! WTF?! The women is trying to do right by animals - and people keep flaging her because she rescues Pitties.

I've noticed that rescues, adoption days, shelter fundraiser, etc are commonly flagged. What gives? I once posted the information of the annual MSPCA fundraiser walk, to incourage people to get out and walk for the animals, and I was flagged!

I've seen a lot of the Southern rescues be flagged, it makes no sense.  I think there are a lot of bored busybodies out there.

Yeaaa.....seriously?! Whats they're problem?! And, most of the people are 'animal lovers'....riiiiiiiiight. I've also seem them flag a letter from the Animal Control's gas-chamber man. It was sad -  I read it before they flaged it, it was a true story too....

The pit bull poster replied back to my e-mail (which was full of information to look into, the dog forum, and it was not at all aggressive) with a slue of curses! Whoa! Somebody need their mouth washed out with soap!

That's why I can't reply to them - they cuss at me, and I fly off the handle. I've already been thru anger management - that's why I started boxing, as a release. If someone came at me like that when I was just trying to be helpfull, I would flip. *sigh* People need to learn how to be responisible.

The pit bull post should be flagged. I don't think you can advertise breedings on Craigslist.  Only re-homes.  Of course I see plenty of dogs needing homes with a $350 "re-homing" fee....

They're someone in my town 're-homing' purebred Goldens for $250.

On top of that, I live in a military town, Ft, Bragg is connected to us, I get so sick of the soliders coming here - getting a dog and then having to get rid of it due to PCSing. Why get a dog that your going to havw to re-home in a few months? Why do that to yourself? And, more importantly, why do that to the dog?

When I posted the girls I was constantly flagged. I think its because the animals are not free and they won't go to just *anybody* that bothers people. I got a lot of emails asking for Coffe (Ruby) but once I told them how I did my animals I didn't get anymore replies. Post like this should be flagged!

 It is because there are people on misguided power trips who constantly check Craigslist and flag anything they don't like, allowable by CL rules or not. There is even secret flagging forums where they ask everyone to flag certain posts. And there is also flagging software which will constantly flag a post until it is removed. Some people are nuts and if they have any sort of power over anyone at all, they'll misuse it. Even if it is just over a stupid internet ad.

So sad....Apollo was scheduled to be gassed the day I adopted him. We got him from the Spalding County Animal Control in GA.

Our AC was still building the new shelter when Sam was sapposed to go. The family had a week to get rid of him - it was us or the AC. And the AC put owner turn ins up for adoption the day after they're turned in. At that time, they were gased 3 days later if not adopted. I'm so glad that he didn't have to go thru all that - if Sam had ever been put in a shelter it would have killed him - physcologicly, if not physically.

I'm so glad that you got Apollo out in time!
