Actually her personal email is here...that name is pretty unique, likely the same person.

Oh, that's definitely her.  It even mentions the basset hound.  GRRRR.

Folks...make sure you read the SECOND link I posted above... most interesting!

So she went from treating her dog like *we* treat our dogs to the way that JQP treats their dogs.

I'm just impressed that she knew about low carb kibble for old dogs.
    • Gold Top Dog
Correction, after reading the link Gina posted, she STILL treats her dog better than JQP.
    • Gold Top Dog
I read the second link.  My ;problem isn't that her relationship with her dog changed.  It's not that she didn't treat the dog like a child.  It's not that the dog can be a pain sometimes.

It's that she acted in that article like the dog was scum on her shoe.

Some of the comments were pretty harsh.
No where did she say she's getting rid of the dog. We have ALL been frustrated by potty accidents, constant vet visits, training lapses, etc. Like in marriage I do think a good rant can work wonders and help you carry on...and it's okay not to LIKE each other 100% of the time.

The dog is 11 years old...and she's had it for 11 years. It is an indoor pet. I think the commitment to the dog is there. More so than as you said...the average owner out there.

I think the original piece was a mistake...but I also think some of the comments she got were quite beyond "I'm offended" and into 'I'm offensive'.
    • Gold Top Dog
Indeed, it did seem as if she was committed to taking care of the dog in the second link.  I'll give her that. :)

ETA: While I STILL don't like the original article, I appreciate her attempt to clarify it.

Sometimes a good dressing down can have a good effect on a person! But, maybe now she'll keep her dog related rants private LOL!

I would rather see her come to i-dog.

... And that was TIMES? Got to be a joke.

That poor dog.[&o]  I had Rocky before Maddy was born and when I brought Maddy home, I didn't want Rocky near her at first.  He was too excited and I didn't want to risk him jumping on her.  I slowly introduced the two of them.  I would even rub and love on Rocky while I was holding or nursing Maddy.  Just to let him know that he hadn't been replaced.  Now I have three dogs and Madison thinks that she is their boss!

Why do I find this funny?

Because she'll get hers all right.  She thinks a pile of doggy poop in the kitchen is bad?  Just wait until that kid hits teenagerhood (and a girl no less--they're a REAL trip).

Just wait until the kid slams the door in her face and tells her "I HATE YOU!"  Just wait until the first time that kid sneaks out.  Just wait until she finds pills in her 16 year old's room and realizes that despite that serious sex talk, her daughter is, in fact, screwing her 20 year old trouble making, loser, high school drop out boyfriend ( and she can't tell her not to because then she'll just want to do it more).

And don't forget all those lovely lines teenagers spit out at their parents:  "It's YOUR house-why do I have to help clean it?"  "Why can't I have a car?  ALL my friends have cars!"  "Your my parents--it's you JOB to buy me Ambercrombie and Fitch!"

She'll be begging for her top annoyances to be dog hair and an occasional poop by the time age 18 rolls around.......[sm=evilfire.gif]
