Mindless Chatter....Wednesday

 I got gas for 1.98 today. Yet 1/2 mile down the road it was 2.06?

I was VERY LAZY today. I woke up and then just went back to bed for an hour lol.

Then I got on the computer at work and for once actually did some work. Then I worked in the lawn at home before it started raining. I cleaned the gutters and all lol. Curled up with a book and relaxed after. Then off to the computer again. Then I watched a movie and took Cuddles for a bike run. Then later on it started POURING and now it's just sprinkling. Nebraska weather ya'll. lol

I had the day off today but since I started my ONE class back at school I have to leave work at 3:30 so I'm losing 3 hours a week. Not a good thing when you only work part time! So I called the office manager and she said it was okay for me to come in on Wednesdays from 2 to 5 to make up those hours. YAY!

The day went so fast! I was actually up at 8 am this morning and I feel like I have nothing to show for it? I did do two loads of laundry. It was beautiful today so Lily and I did go out and play ball for quite a bit today....I guess I spent most of my day with the dog .

It's 7:30 and Ben isn't home from work yet. I'm a little worried since he's been getting out earlier due to how dark it gets. He dosn't have a cell phone so I can't call him either and their main office closes at 5 so there's no way to know if they'll be late. UGH....I'll wait until about 8:30 before I start calling around like a maniac!

I got gas for $1.75 yesterday!!! It was $1.86 and i get 10 cents off with my kroger plus card.

Meg, that Coca-Cola-Fanta slurpee sounds AMAZING right now.  I don't have any ice to even attempt to make a homemade knock-off.

But there IS some Halloween candy left...*contemplates*

Hey Megan I'm going to sell a 98 Blazer that's perfect for dogs, lol!  It runs fine and I'm only going to sell it for a few hundred bucks.

A few hundred dollars?? when are you selling it? 

I dunno, as soon as Phil gets a job!  Phil is done with school next month and then hopefully he will get a job so we can either 1) have me keep working and thus afford a new car or 2) I can quit my job and do project from home so we only need one car.

My parents gave it to us when DH went back to school and asked me to deposit money in their account up to $600, but it had some things go wrong so we put $1200 into it right away and I told my mom she gave me a lemon and she said don't worry about the $600, it was costing them money to have it parked and pay insurance (they got it for my brother to use, but he moved out and got his own car so he didn't want to pay them or pay insurance on it, originally it was my uncle's car).  So basically I didn't pay for it besides what we've paid to fix a few things and I really don't care how much it sells for as long as it's GONE as soon as it can be when DH gets a job.  We don't take it on the highway longer than 1/2 hour or so but it works fine for city driving, maybe highway too but we just always use the car b/c it's more comfortable for me.  It has some issues like some of the auto windows don't work, no AC, some cosmetic issues.  Oh and DH says it's a 94 not a 98 but I was sure it was a 98.  DH drives it to school and back (just a few blocks) and we use it to move big stuff around town.  We'll probably take it to a mechanic before it's officially for sale just to see if there's anything wrong with it, but we drive it every day...

I know, I know. Sorry, VM. I knew it would make you smile a little though!! I didn't really get one. NOW I am craving gelato, though. Great.

I reaaaally, reaaaaally need to start working on this lesson plan thing. I'm just so under-motivated. It doesn't help that Grey's Anatomy is online, so I think that I'll do my homework while I listen to the episode...and then I spaced and just watched it. It's not even 9pm and I'm ready for bed, but I NEED TO WORK ON THIS MONSTER!

I ended a 12 year friendship last night because of politics.  It was an absolutely frustrating situation.  I am married to a man who didn't agree with my political views this election.  DH & I have had some "spirited" discussions, but we have always been able to keep it civil.  This particular friend could not keep it civil, & respectful, so I bowed out.  It just seemed like the best thing to do, at the time.

On a lighter note...Bev's appointment went great!!!  We are decreasing his pred dose.  He lost 6 pounds in the past week, which isn't good.  I am realizing that it's very difficult to find a grain free, lower protein food.  Right now, he's eating four meals (about 7,000 kcals) a day, & he looks like a walking skeleton.  I suppose that we'll keep plugging away until he's off pred, & can go back to raw.  I do get to increase his exercise some, YAY!  He still has to be leash walked, but there were indications that *if* his range of motion improves as it has over the past week, that he will be allowed off leash next week.  He will be soooo happy when the leash comes off again!   (So will I, for that matter!)

 SHE'S HOME!! *dances* My puppy is home. Her name is Sandy! She's a tri color JRT. And no I don't have pictures yets. I know shame on me!  But right now she's laying on Alex's lap, chewing on a veal raw hide.  Maze is in love with her but doesn't understand why she won't play.. Lol.

I'm gonna be looking for a new job at the end of the month.. I'm fed up with Timmies right now.  They won't let me do my job, they keep pushing me out of the way and I've only been there 3 days!! *dies*

12 yrs is a long time for a friendship so I hope this is something that can be smoothed over and put behind you guys. All of this political stuff is so temporary but true friends are very hard to find.

It was a long day and altho it's only 8:15 I've had some wine and a nice hot bubble bath and I'm looking forward to a good nights sleep.

i can't wait to see pics! my friend just got one! she's a tri too & has the smoother coat, she's 5months old, SO SO ADORABLE!! lucky you!! congrats!!!
