What is the scariest thing.....

Lies, I can imagine how she must have felt at both of those things.  My best friend died of Lymphoma so anything to do with the lymph nodes scares the crap out of me.  And things always escalate in your mind when your miles away.

We took off running, but his dad returned very quickly & fired shots off at us.  He was a pretty good shot, because I was peppered with rat shot.

Holy Moly!!  That's quite the overreaction for a bit of TPing.  When we bought our house there was a huge weeping willow tree in the front yard and when my oldest DS was in Jr. High it would periodically get TPd by his friends.  One night there was a group of girls decorating the tree, and Sean was sitting on the front porch handing them rolls of our toilet paper. I told him if his friends wanted to TP the tree I was cool with it, but they should at least bring their own rolls from home. Big Smile

Let see don't know what would be the scariest thing for my mom I did a lot of stuff that scared her........

3 years old use to grab snakes out of the grass and swinging them around in my hands and my mom hates snakes

I was 2years old  ran from my mom right into a glass shelf in a mall and had to get stitches on front of my head. Was told if I was a little taller it could have hit my eye into the darn thing and would have lost the eye.

2 or 3 years old fell off the top of stands at my brothers softball game hit the side of the metal trash can ended up going to get stitches for the back of my head.

3 or 4 years old  decided to fight with my brother he hit me throwing me back into my mom's stand busting open back of head another trip to the hospital for stitches.

6 years old almost got hit by a truck walking home cause my brother forgot me thankfully they saw me just in the nick of time

8 years old had a plant in my leg don't ask me how I did that one and yes a actual plant.

14 years old  I broke my ankle shattered my growth plate at friend's birthday party need to get 4 screws put in my ankle

15 years old had a twig in the middle of my foot and my mom had to pull it out.

     Hmmm... let's see..

7 years old, I shattered my ankle and need surgery on it. Dr's refused to do the surgery until I was fully grown..

5 years old, cut my big toe on my right foot clean off. Needed to go to the hospital and get it re-attached..

9 years old, I was kidnapped from my aunts place in the states and brought to Alberta where my dad found, and brought me home..

10 years old, I stepped on a rusty nail and didn't notice so I tracked blood all through the house..

    I think that's it. Lol

Aww do I have to? LOL!

Basically my parents went through a real NASTY divorce and my mom couldn't accept the judge's decision to leave me with my dad. Now my dad didn't want to estrange me from that side of the family so I went down to Montana to visit my aunt (mom's sister). But my mom and aunt had planned to take me from my dad during that visit and Mom came down to get me.  The whole time I thought my dad knew what was going on. I started school in Alberta and my first day there, my dad shows up with two police man to take me home!!  I was missing for about 2 months. In the end I found out that my grandmother, 3 cousins as well as my uncle all helped plan the entire thing.

Funny thing now is I'm friends with my mom and I haven't spoken to any one else on that side of the family since then. So they basically did what my dad was trying to avoid. Lol

Wow Oranges!! I wish my mom would have thought about that when my dad dumped us off at my grandparents.

I was a very very bad teenager. Grandparents are NOT meant to raise their grandkids. Ok maybe not teenage grandkids that is.

I guess mine would have to be getting a PI. Yep I would say that would be the one that tops my list of scary things I did to my grandparents.

Sorry you wound up in the middle of all that.  Divorces are always hard on kids and especially hard when the parents don't put the children first.

My brotehr and I went to pick blueberries.  I didnt know the way home and had to stay with my brother, who had no intentions of going home, he was having a great time!  I got tired, bored, scared we were lost, tired and bored by turns.  I even cried a few times, but my bro kept finding things to distract me and persuade me to stay out a bit later.  We spent AGES knocking crab apples out of a tree with long sticks, but they tasted horrible.  We were supposed to be gone, oh, an hour?  We were gone nearly a whole DAY.  Parents had called police who even had copters out looking for us!  Jeez if ever Will does that to me I swear I'll kill him!!!! Stick out tongue

Were you looking for your mom?  Your dad?

    • Gold Top Dog

No I got a PI. Public Intoxication. Told you I was bad.

well, most of this was my brother, not me.

First, when I was first brought home from hospital as a baby, my mother put me on the huuuge round kitchen table in my carrier.  My brother started climbing the counter, she turned for a second to grab him (he was right beside her) and I tipped off the table and fractured my skull for the first time.

Then, when I was maybe about a month old, my brother was 2, they had a lot of commercials about phoning the police and what not.  My brother phoned the police and said "baby's in the bathtub"  lol my mother was bathing me.  The police showed up at our house, and nearly broke down the door to get in lol.

When I was maybe 3? or 4? I was playing outside on the front lawn with my brother and the girl across the street.  All I remember was my mother coming out and frantically asking where my brother went, and she told me I pointed at a house across the street and down a few houses, my mother ran over, ran into this house without knocking and came out with my brother.  This man my parents didn't know told my brother there were puppies and had lured him into his house.  My mother got there before anything bad happened.

When I was about 4 or so, my mother would get me up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.  And while I was sitting on the toilet my father phoned (he was at a bachlor party lol) and so my mother was on the phone in the kitchen with him, when she heard BANG.  I fell asleep sitting on the toilet, fell forward and smashed my head against the bathtub.  Fractured my skull for the second time.

When I was about 4/5 my brother and I had this genius idea of bringing his mattress down to the bottom of the stairs, and playing batman, by jumping off the top of the stairs and onto the mattress.  I jumped the wrong way, and hit my head on the side of the big wooden buffett thing we had and fractured my skull for the third time lol.

Wow! I was a really freaking good kid! LOL. I should point my Mom towards this thread so she can appreciate how good I was... Big Smile

Worst thing I ever did was almost run away to a much older guy in Colorado when I was...14. My Mom found out about it after I decided I wasn't going. And my sisters try to say I have no daddy issues.. Stick out tongue

My Mom was extremely overprotective when I was younger, and I basically listened to her. But a few times I walked to a convenience store with a couple friends, which I was NOT allowed to do. Oooh rebel! LOL. But seriously, that was ridiculous. I was 8 or 9, and the store was literally just up a hill through the woods from our neighborhood, and everyone at the store knew & loved me because my Mom had worked there a few years before. Yeah, overprotective. She got mad at me when I told her later too. Confused

It was hard but in the end (and after years of hatred) my mom and I can put it behind us and be friends. Which I'm happy for.

hmm, i was a good kid.. ok, well i was a wuss! so i didnt do much. but i was a clumsy wuss, so i did fall down the stairs in our house a few times and one of the times my tooth died. it just turned kinda dark. thankfully it was my first set :)

oh and aparently when i was about 3 i fell mouth first into a pile of nails (what my dad was doing with nails, is really what i want to know, lol) and i ripped open the inside of my upper lip. it wasnt very bad, but i bled like a pig and my mother FREAKED!!!!

the real good stuff though was all my sister. she was born when we lived in a village. she was used to just crawling (yes, she didnt even walk yet) out of the house and to our neighbours. not that we thought that was a-okay, but it really wasnt THAT dangerous. well. then we moved to the city and decided we would just lock the doors so she doesnt escape while everyone is still sleeping. well she managed to open them and we lived next to an outdoors swimming facility. she was so short, noone saw her walk right in. meanwhile we were all up frantically looking for her. finally one of our neighbours who was at the pool brought her back. she had seen us when we moved in and we became good family friends then...

also on saint nicolas day (which we celebrate in germany!) my parents had called a service who dispatch saint nicolases (kinda like a santa service). well the dude was late, so my parents busied us with some paper and color pencils. we were drawing on the living room table, which has some candles burning. my sister (about 4-5 at the time) had her fuzzy hair tied to a palm tree style on top of her head. well, with her leaning over that "palm tree" just dangled in the flames and soon enough her whole head was on fire! worst thing about it was that noone noticed, except me and i was speechless! lol... anyways, nothing happened to her. she didnt even notice until everyone started to panic! but the house had a lovely smell of singed hair that night... lol
