    HOMECOMING!

Its on October 4th and I'm so excited!!!! Althought I cant dance AT ALL! I'm hooorrriibblllleeeee. haha.
I'm going with my boyfriend. I have yet to tell my parents, I'm scared of their reaction. But anyways, I'm still looking for a dress.....but I dont really wanna spend over 100$ because I have to buy it myself. My sister has a really pretty blue one she wore to prom last year and it fits me great and makes me look so skinny! But I'm going to go shopping with my friends on the 20th just to see if there are any other choices and if I cant find anything I'll have a backup! And I also need ideas for an updo...I hav no idea what to do there are so many choices! Any ideas...?

Here's a pic of me in the dress...I was stupid and didnt get a full shot (its rather hard to do by yourself...), but it gives you an idea of what it looks like. It has those lil sparkley bead things only on the top boob area and the rest is blue and its strapless (thats my bra in the pic...I was to lazy to put on a diff one.....haha) and it comes down to like the middle of my lower leg...Do you like it? I'm so scared I'm going to be too dressy or not dressy enough...I'm waiting to ask around where people got their dresses so I have an idea of what style most are going for and how dressy.

Oh I like the blue!  It makes your eyes pop and looks great with your skin tone.  Blue is my favorite color but doesn't look half that good on me!

    1) JEALOUS! I've always wanted to go to a Homecoming but they don't do that in Canada. At least not where I live. *sigh*

    2) I think it looks great. Really brings out your eyes. And just remember to change the bra.. Lol

Blue is my all time fav color but I look like crap in it so I stick to black. I look really good in black. Not faded or anything.

Don't worry about your parents.  I'm sure they'll wish you the best of time.Smile

homecoming is always more 'casual' than prom.... but I wouldn't worry too much about being too dressed up/not. Everyone does different things - just have fun!

I just left my hair down both times I went to homecoming, but I ended up having it up at the end of the night. I always liked the up-do with all the curls, but not too big. I like simple - which is probably why I just left my hair down. I'll have to see if I can find any homecoming pictures. I know I've got one from prom in my photobucket - but that's a lot more 'dressed up' than HC.

I love the blue - my prom dress was a light blue. I loveddd it. =]

I can't find my HC picture, I was going to post it!

Anyway - to you have a Ross or TJ Maxx nearby? All of my formal dresses came from those places - I had to do a little hunting, but they were all less than $50.

    I like that dress.

I wouldn't worry about being too dressed up.  The last HC I went to there were alot of girls wearing more formal dresses.  If you like it and it looks good on you, I'd go for it.  But then again, you never know what you'll find when you are out shopping :o)

    Have fun!!!

^ as you can see...i have no butt or hips. lucky me :P

I got it for 50$ at DEB and my friends each got a dress from there too but we all look different. My friend got a white dress with a brown ribbion thing that goes under your boobs and a bow in the front and my other friend got a purplish/silverish one that has a cool design in little jewel things (: im so excited.

Did you have a football team?  I can't understand having a highschool football team and not having homecoming....its the game of the year...

    • Gold Top Dog

Nope. Football was not the school sport. It was basketball, volleyball and soccer. But mostly basketball and volleyball.

    • Gold Top Dog
Well, that would explain the lack of homecoming.  Homecoming is a football game.  The dance is just the after effect.  We have a parade and everything.  Half the school paints themselves blue and gold.
