Since I have been dragged into this after TRYING to stay out of it, and since my private inbox is overflowing with venomous email......
 
First, I'm not sure that Jaime emailing me and telling me to step back from something is an official warning.  And yep, there have been several times that Jaime has emailed me and asked me to leave a thread alone.  Not ONCE have I replied with arguing or vulgarity.  I've maybe whined a bit that the whole situation just isn't FAIR, but I've done as she asked without giving her sh*t.  But, ok, if I've been WARNED, I've been warned, and I've taken it to heart that I needed to stop letting my butt overload my brain.  So why am I an issue here?  I've never been suspended most likely because if Jaime says I'm getting out of line, I LISTEN.  She is the moderator and if she doesn't want me saying something, I'll behave because I DO value idog and I don't want to be booted for misbehavior.  And I don't run around telling everyone who will listen what a worthless moderator Jaime is or what buttholes dog.com are.
 
Yes, I have considered Brenda a friend for the last couple years since she came to idog.  That said, I've gotten similar emails to what Joel is describing when I posted something that she didn't agree with, or didn't like, or when I told her she was being a horses hind end.  As recently as Thursday morning I tried to get Brenda to leave Ernies Joel alone and got venom in my inbox as thanks.  There have been a number of nasty lies spread about me, and also about my fosters.  I know who's spreading those lies and honestly, I could care less.  Those that matter know better, and those who don't, well, they don't matter anyway.
 
I have been PUSHED and pushed and pushed to make a public statement in Brenda's support.  OK folks, here it is.
 
I'm very sorry that Brenda was banned.  She could be a valuable addition to this board.  But she could also be a protagonist and stir the pot rather unpleasantly.    I have SEEN the emails that flowed between Jaime and Brenda and between Jaime and Joel because BRENDA sent me everyone of them.  And honestly?  I would have banned her for that kind of crap a LONG time ago.  I guess in a way this IS my fault, because I've put up with the nasty emails and just ignored her until she calmed down for a LONG time, so perhaps by my doing that, she came to think that it was ok to treat people like something she needed to scrape off the bottom of her shoe.  If that's the case, my apologies not only to Brenda, but to Joel and Jaime as well.  And if anyone doubts that I'm telling the truth about these emails, I'll be happy to share some of them....I have an entire folder devoted to these.
 
Now, should any of YOU choose to send me venomous email, go right ahead, but do so with the full knowledge that I'm not reading ANYTHING.  I have done absolutely everything I could to keep Brenda on this board, but I couldn't do it alone.  She needed to cooperate a little and act like an adult.

I'm feel Joel was right on what he did. If I had got an email from someone using that language with me I would do the same thing. That was not right. She could talk to Joel P like that and then complain about Joel (oinest) [&:]  I think those that are following her leave, should just do it and go. We don't need the "I'm outta here" notice. It is too bad. Brenda was very smart and great at helping out, but to say that "all" of the helpful people are leaving, is not true. We still have many here, and many more will come. Last week a new member came, I'm sorry I can't remember her name, but she is going to be great help around here.
 
I just hope that maybe now things will cool down around here.

How can you make it so "outsiders" can't email you. I want to have my email available so that my friends here can get in touch with me, but I don't want to have to open my email and get "nasties" from people who are no longer members. Is there anyway to do that?

Angel, I'm not sure.  On the old board my email addy didn't display.  I got email notification in my regular address box of pm's.  Now, I think all the pms go right into our idog email box.  Oh, but there IS a block list....if there is someone you don't want to hear from, block their email addy in your address book....just thought of that.....so I guess unless you KNOW you're gonna get a nastygram, just read the first one and THEN block that person??

If a certain someone, who knows exactly who they are, does NOT stop with the nasty emails I'm just gonna post every last one of the ones I have saved, including the TRUE story of the suspension and banning, and take my three day sitdown.  At least I'll have shown everyone here what the truth actually is.

I think we owe Glenda a thankyou for trying to straighten facts up.   Because one person is saying one thing, the other is saying opposite. Glenda is on the inside looking out, she knows what is really going on. I hope you don't get in trouble Glenda for posting your information, because it sometimes takes courage to tell the truth, especially when its not what some people want to hear.

If the person has a Yahoo mail account and they send you threatening or abusive emails, they are breaking the TOS for Yahoo.  Forward their mail to the Yahoo Abuse patrol http://help.yahoo.com/help/abuse/) and they could get their account revoked.

Most email services have TOS and most say that sending abusive emails is against the rules.
