she claims it's something called "stretching every dollar" and "good financing,"
Oh heck, it's not THAT hard. Budgeting is your
friend. I am obsessive when it comes to money. Ever. Single. Friggin'. Penny. we get is budgeted and accounted for. Like I've told you before- my general plan for getting new animals is to do tons of research, figure out EXACTLY, to the penny, how much it should cost to feed, clean, house, and otherwise provide for that animal in a given month, including setting some aside for basic vet care, and then for at least two months, live as though I had that animal- setting aside the amount I budgeted for those two months- to see if my budget works. If it doesn't, I rework it until it does.
So, if it seems like I've made a sudden decision to get an animal, 9 times out of 10, I have already thought about that animal and have budgeted for it in the past. I just rarely talk about it to anyone until I'm ready to make the plunge. [

] There are times when I've gotten an animal with no planning- as was the case with Madison and Butter- and those times were rough. But in the end, after sitting there with a calculator and pad of paper for a few hours, I can usually figure out how to make things work. It's really not as hard as it sounds. [8D]
Oh yeah, and Brittany? Where are the Butter pictures??
Crud, I always forget Butter! Honestly at this point he has such a houndish personality that I forget he even has any pit in him. He does though, so I guess I'd better include him. Here is Mr. Sgt. Buttface:
