kelly, are the frames you used in some of the sigs some thing you selected from the new photoshop or something you got from elsewhere?

I didn't really use any frames. Some of the elements are things I drew or clipart that I modified in Illustrator. Mostly it's all separate stuff that I put together in Photoshop. Which ones are you talking about? I can tell you how it came together...

i was talking about the polaroid loooking frames around the photos in bragg1120's sig and the wooden boxes in jewilee's.

i like those touches. i just wondered if that was something you came up with or found somewhere or came as images with the new photoshop.

The Polaroids are just white boxes behind the pics and the wooden boxes came from a clipart twig that I copied four times at slightly different sizes to make the frame in Illustrator, then used Photoshop filters to make it look a little better.

    Thanks [:)]

ahhh!  to quote george costanza... "i've been rubbing two sticks together and you have a zippo".

i would like to be more proficient with image manipulation software. but time constraints abound! [:D]

    LOL!!

At work, we were *just* having a conversation about the fact that there is a Seinfeld reference for EVERYTHING!

The [linkhttp://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Photoshop-CS2-Classroom-Book/dp/0321321847/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-2374041-8077560?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1181850135&sr=8-1]Classroom in a Book[/link] stuff is good. We had those for textbooks first year.

i guess i should buy a book if i really want to learn it. i peck around and do a few things, and then the next time i want to use it... i have forgotten all that stuff. [:D]

    Thanks [:)]

Bradley, you can also Google 'Photoshop tutorials' - that's where you learn some of the really cool tricks.

    Anyone else?

    OOOH! OOOH! ME! ME!

That is, only if you don't mind, of course. How should I get the photos to you?

Kelly, awesome creations!!! [:D] Great work! I love CS3 -- I don't know how I lived without it. While I'm looking forward to CS4... my pocketbook is not. lol

Schmee, you can probably just post the pictures you want used on this thread (if it's not a hijack?). She can get them here. Sorry if I'm stepping on toes, just figured I probably knew the answer and hope I'm helping!

Thanks Sera [:)] There are definitely some big advantages to being a student - like $800 off CS3 [sm=dance.gif]

Schmee, I PM'ed you my e-mail, or you can just post 'em here.

Great work Kelly, those look awesome!

I have one tidbit of advice, though (learned through experience). The background on the forum is F1F1F1, not white. It's just a teeny bit grey. So if you change the white edge to grey on Disarray's, it might look a little cleaner. Hope you don't mind the critique. [:)]

    Thanks for the tip!
