Think she'll make a good nanny dog?

My great aunt has commented on how well Rory is going to do with the new baby......despite the fact that Rory has been heavily socialized with kids from day one.
Anyhoo here she is last weekend with our god-daughter.
This was after 2 hours of poor Rory enduring "Rory, come here, Rory, come play, Rory, Rory, Rory", LOL Rory held no grudges!
I'm fairly confident we'll be just fine.....what do ya think?

Note the ear fingering.....I dont think Mikayla even noticed she was doing it but Rory didnt seem to mind

Rory wins the title of cuddler extraordinaire. She'll be a very patient and mindful nanny; she'll do great with the baby ! Her temporary "pillow" is pretty cute too.

Oh, no she's going to be just fine. I can see in her face how relaxed she is and just content. I've had experience with the difference between the I'm tolerating this and I don't mind it face.

She's soooo sweet!

I suspect you'll end up with a dog like the one I had when my son arrived. She sat close by wherever he was and if he made a peep, she'd come and worry at me. "Hey! Baby's crying! Come! Come look! Do something!" When I'd ignore him (kid had colic and cried nearly non-stop the first 10 mos. of his life!) she'd give me a loud huffing breath and return to his side, sniff him all over and then just watch over him. She had to supervise everything we did to him and snuff him constantly to make sure we were doing it right. I'm sure she thought we were terribly inept parents and if she only had opposable thumbs she could have outparented us in a minute!

Rory's going to be a great Momma dog. Can't wait to see the pics!

Oh thats hilarious! My little brother had colic......what a nightmare!

Thanks fro all the love guys. I have great faith in her and cant wait!!

Mikayla (the littel girl in the pic) has twin brothers who just turned 6 months and Rory has been taught to respect their space but of course we let her investigate. She dosnt mind crying one bit but oh MAN if one goes poo she dances around them like "Hey their not supposed to do that in the house", LOL.......we already call her our poo monitor!

I still have awhile but were already preparing!

Ha, the only thing that surprises me about those pictures is the fact that a pit bull isn't bouncing around trying to get the kid to PLAY PLAY PLAY! That's all Jaz wants to do. "Cuddle with a kid?? Nah! We gon' PLAY!! Did someone say 'ball'????"

But he's a big dumb boy who tends to, you know, accidently bust people's faces (though he's much much more careful with kids than adults)...
