I have to post some breed specific ones because ......well we all know pit bulls have some of the most ill educated breeders on earth, LOL

 

GSD specific ones...

• You try to pass off a husky mix as a Panda Shepherd
• shepard, sheppard....need I say more?
• You think an all black is rare so you raise the price
• You specialize in "old world" GSDs (ie, fat dogs with sagging stomachs and plush coats)
• You think GSDs are closely related to wolves (GSDs are one of the newest breeds!)
• Potential buyers can't meet the puppies' parents because they will bite their hands off!
• You think the dogs have a great pedigree because "they go back to Horand!" (Horand was one of the original GSDs, lol, they ALL go back to Horand!)
• You are proud of the fact that your stud dog weighs 120lbs

You offer that long haired GSD as rare for more money

Corgi specific - you think 40+ pounds is great! The bigger the better.

Malinois specific - You let you malinois breed to a GSD and sell it as a rare designer breed.

You know you are a backyard breeder when asked about OFA and CERF and you say "No, I never got the papers on the Daddy so we can't register the pups, darn it."

 Oh I forgot two!

You breed your BCs up in size so they can work cattle.  

You create an oversized or undersized, out of standard dog, add a name prefix or a "mini" in front and charge extra.  Ala Oorang Airedales and MiniAussies.

You know you're a BYB when you sell your pups online without any screening...
Hey, anyone with a charge card can get a pup shipped anywhere for an extra $250 or so!

You know you're a BRB when the newborn puppies share the same space with the barn mice.

For this thread I just went on kijiji.  I JUST looked at German Shepherds and I looked ONLY in my city.

• the first entry advertised puppies born June 17 and they want them picked up the eve of July 27, cash only
• the second advertised "rare" white GSDs and mentioned champion bloodline, but then listed dogs that are not CH
• the third was an ad for a long-haired GSD, 8 months old, want to stud him out for $200 and pick of the litter
• the fourth is for "large boned" GSDs, only $500 for breeding rights!
• the fourth is someone selling a "shepard" puppy that they found .... hokaaaay

OMG! An 118 lb goliath, and celebrity pup at half the price?!?!  Where's my credit card????

These poor dogs.  I don't know who has it worse, the pits or the designer mixes.  I think it's a tie.   

Specifically for dachshunds:

 You claim that you've never seen any back problems in any of your dogs

You label every light-colored red as "American Cream"

You breed double dapples (dapple X dapple causes all kinds of problems from blindness, deafness or worse, but they sure are perty!)

And for all breeds:

Puppies ready just in time for Christmas!!!

-You think de-worming a pup and giving him a Rabies vac. is all the health care he needs

-You advertise the pups as Champion Show quality when only the grandfather on the fathers side is a champion

-You think you know more then the adverage dog owner because you have bred over 200 litters of pups in the past year

-You get excited when you have a brood female who has many pups per litter, because you know you can breed her more

-You think a neutered dog is worthless because all dogs should the able to breed (WTF?)

-You think all cross bred dogs are super healthy and so are better then any purebred

-The more a dog is worth the more their puppies will be worth

-Any nonstandard color is OBVIOUSLY a rare color and makes a dog worth more

-You think theres nothing wrong breeding two blue eyed white dogs together

 You ship overnight.  No questions asked.
