I got it!! Large Dog Harnesses

If he might throw a reactive fit, you will want a harness he can't slip.  Kenya has a Ruffwear webmaster we use for biking, but it's basically a general harness.  It's designed so a dog can back out of it. 

You're right, I do not want him to slip it.
What kind would you recommend?

^ That's what Cherokee has too. I had to shorten the strap that runs in between the front legs, because it sat too high on her neck and made her cough (sensitive neck..which is why she wears a harness in the first place), but aside from that..it's absolutely perfect. Definitely no chance of slipping out. My favorite part about it is the ever-so-convenient handle. That's come in very handy a buuunch of times.

 I'll 3rd the Ruffwear Webmaster, the large should be plenty big enough as it is a little too big for Bugsy.

Fantastic harness - that will allow him to pull like a train should he so desire 

Looks like it might be hard to find but worth it - lots of places did have it on sale

I just called 3 EMS and 1 REI and the Weymouth Dog Shop...all sold out!

 I did a google search and some still have it in, just checked eBay and only one on there XS.  If I find one somewhere I'll let you know.  It is a great harness so hang on, the full price is like $40

I found it on campmor.com for $37.99, large, in black, plus shipping (2nd day) it will be $54.94... I want to get it before I go away Friday.

I just found it on backcountryoutlet.com for $27.97 Woohoo! You know I'm ordering it now (in red)! I did the 2nd day shipping, came out to $38.22, not too bad!

Quick question about the Web Master...
Will it make Apollo hot because it's padded?

One thing about reactivity- if you wait till he growls to turn around, you're waiting too long- try turning around 5' earlier.

 Reactivity SUCKS. :P Indy's gotten over it but it took a LONG time.  
 

I agree - you're not making any progress on the reactivity because you're waiting too long. He needs to stay in his comfort zone at all times. I personally doubt a harness will help.

I had no idea I was waiting too long.
I though as soon  as he showed any signs of reacting to turn around, but I will work on watching him better and trying to keep him in that comfort zone at all times.

We haven't gone for a walk with it yet, but I'll let you all know how it was.
