Introducing (the pug f/k/a lulu) Tinkerbelle!!!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

Sorry -- after I got the Clan back home (minus Tink) I went out to get groceries cos I gotta cook dogfood today.  THEN Dr B had the Merial rep call me about vaccines.

Yeah, of course I didn't want the combo shot -- and interestingly Merial is trying to educate vets to use select modified live vax and only do them every 3 years or so.  I'll post more about this later in health.

She IS out from under the anesthesia and doing well.  They'll call me to go pick her up in an hour or so (it's like 45 minutes up there)

She was having a blast with Dr. Bailey -- some day I'll have to break the news to my dogs that they're supposed to be afraid of the vet!!

But now laundry and dogfood call!! LOL

So glad she's doing well! Smile

My MIL has a cat called Tinkerbelle that never cleans her behind properly.  She gets called Stinky A LOT.

I am so glad that everyone made it back safe and sound. And double good news about the spay. Fingers crossed that all other tests come back as fine, and the intial meeting indicates a drama free future for the clan. But after all that... she is absolutely adorable!!! And... um.... waiting for a Tink eye squint photo.... foot tapping.... we're waaaiiiiting....... :-)

T'will take timing to get a Tink scowl (most of those happened on the road -- she thot that "pack all our stuff and leave" thing every morning was just .... DUMB!! Let's stay here already!!

She's not feeling wonderful tonight -- she urped a bit when I got her home (he didn't give her a sedative -- he just masked her down -- he's awesome that way and SOOO good with the bracheocephalic breeds).  When I fed the other 3 she didn't even want to come to the kitchen and I didn't make her.  She's pretty food motivated and I knew she'd let me know she was hungry when she wanted food.

By the time I got everbuddy outside I came to the living room to find her peeking around the corner into the kitchen.  Since I"m cooking dogfood I figgered it might be too 'smelly' in there so I brought her just a few kibbles w/baby food to keep it bland.  She ate about half what I'd normally give her (maybe less -- but I'll offer a bit more before bed).  But so far has kept it down.

So far so good.  Poor little gal --so many changes in such a short time.

Oh, Tinkerbelle is so cute!  I hope she is feeling better soon.

Congratulations Callie, David and Tink!   If Tink is anything like my Hailie Lyn you will only have good things happening.  My baby girl is a text book pug she loves cuddles, sleeping in bed (under blankets) and is master manipulator with those beautiful eyes.  Enjoy Pug-izim its wonderful!

Here's my girl, now your part of the Pug clubBig Smile

You forgot the "sitting on your feet" part of puggy-ness!!  It's too funny!

She's doing well today.  Appetite pretty well back to normal.  She's no ball of fire this morning but she's fulfilling all the normal doggie requirements (including trying to get into everything not nailed down!)

What a sweetie Big Smile; I'm glad she's doing well after being spayed. Fingers crossed for all 3; hope Luna's blood work doesn't show anything serious.

    • Gold Top Dog

The mystery deepens -- Luna's bloodwork was PERFECT, so it's nothing like diabetes, etc.  Now we wait for the results from Michigan State (big thyroid panel)

Billy's wasn't so hot -- he's got a big UTI (different symptoms completely  -- all rods and really strong - it didn't even look like it CAME from Billy).  And his hematacrit is kinda low (34.5) which is a touch worrying because of the iMHA -- Altho -- I asked Dr. B to look at his pre-IMHA bloodwork -- I *think* his 'normal' USED to be about 35.

All the fecals were fine ... so no answers at all yet to 'tell' us anything.
